We used Hawaii Car Transport to ship our truck from Maui to Utah. Let me tell you, we had a really good experience with them. Our truck arrived in less than 2 weeks, in almost perfect condition as the time we shipped it out (considering the fact that it was also hauled from the california port directly to our door in Utah. Communication from the very beginning was excellent. The ease of uploading all required documents online made it a breeze for us when it was time to drop our truck off. Only experience that we feel could have been improved was the fact that in the later afternoon hours, it takes a long time for someone to pick up the phone. Otherwise, I definitely would recommend this company.

Wow! Friendly, efficient, and a very easy process. My new (to me) Ducati was picked up with out issue in Illinois and arrived safely and quickly right here on Oahu, with a very fast and easy pick-up at Montgomery Power Sports. I would most definitely use Hawaii Car Transport again and recommend them very highly. And they were 30% cheaper than the competition!

UPDATE: we discovered that in a bottom compartment in our trunk, they also stole the jumper cables, jack, and first aid kit that came with our car.
I do NOT recommend anyone use Hawaii Car Transport to transfer their vehicle to the mainland. It isn’t just the fact they have horrible communication with their customers while in possession of their car, but whoever is in possession of your car will steal whatever is valuable inside, and take it for a joyride as many miles as they want with their kid in the backseat.

When my husband spoke to the sales guy for the company, he said there should be no problem getting our car to us in Utah sometime Dec 20th-23rd. We knew that was just an estimate and that it would probably take longer because of the holidays, but we decided to go through with them since their quote was cheaper than other vehicle transportation companies.

Our car arrived at port in California on Dec 17th. On Dec 23rd we called and were told that the carrier cancelled on transporting the car and it wouldn’t get to us until after Christmas. We were disappointed, but not surprised since we were shipping our car during the holidays and people take work off. On Dec 27th we called again and didn’t receive any answer. We didn’t hear anything from the company again until January 3rd when they told us that our car still had not been assigned a carrier, and that they had no estimated date at all to give us. The woman on the phone was rude and unhelpful and gave us no peace of mind. We asked if we could fly to California and drive our car home ourselves, but she said that they had been paying a port holding fee since Dec 26th, and that if we decided to drive the car ourselves, WE would be responsible to pay the fee, which was almost $300 by then. Ridiculous. We decided that it wouldn’t be worth our time or money to take work off and travel to get the car and pay the holding fees that we’re building up each day, so we waited with no idea when our car would arrive.

They got back to us Jan 9th and said they finally found a carrier. The truck driver was very nice and had better communication than the actual company did. He called to update us throughout the week, which we appreciated.
The car finally arrived to us in Utah on January 14th, 26 days longer than the estimated arrival date. When we inspected the car, the outside was in perfect condition (thank heavens 🙏) but when we looked inside we found some very concerning signs that our car had been driven around by someone. Our odometer had almost 200 more miles than what it had when we dropped it off at the port on O’ahu, our charger was stolen, the interface settings for the screen were totally changed, there were greasy fingerprints staining the visor on the driver’s side. There was A CHILD’S TOY, a raggedy little bunny stuffy, left in our back seat. The carseat buckle covering on the seat had been uncovered where we found the bunny. We don’t have children and a child has NEVER ridden in my car, much less a child young enough to sit in a carseat. Someone had been driving our car around with a small child in the back. That is super concerning to me and no where in the contract we signed said anyone would be driving our car around let alone with children in the car.

At this point I’m just grateful our car even made it to us without any damage. I would NEVER recommend Hawaii Car Transport to anyone to transport their car. The whole situation was very stressful and you’re pretty much at the mercy of whoever has your car while it’s being transported.

I've never worked with a less professional company. Each and every time I call I am lied to. I'm promised they will call me back the same day, they don't. I'm promised I was given information previously, I wasn't. When asked to provide proof of this information, they refuse, simply because they don't have it, and admitting such would admit to another blatant lie from Hawaii Car Transport. Due to their mistakes and their mistakes alone, I am going to incur nearly $2,000 in additional rental costs due to my car arriving 28 days later than the scheduled date. They refuse to compensate, and inform me as such in a smug and unprofessional manner. Not only is this company incompetent, but they are completely unapologetic about the awful positions they put their customers in. Avoid this company at all costs, use instead companies like Coastal Auto Shipping and Pasha instead.

Lana Ramis at Hawaii Car Transport helped me ship my 1922 model t. I couldn’t have asked for better service. Give this person a raise! I would recommend this company to anyone shipping cars to and from Hawai. Once again, thank you Lana for all you did to get my vehicle safely to my door in Arizona.

My car is getting there TWO weeks later than estimated. I understand that the estimate is approximate but 2 weeks? Total transport time almost SIX WEEKS from CO to HI.
Now I won’t even be there to pick it up. Horrible.

I’m Rating My Experience A 3. The Car Transportation, Booking And The Service It Self Was A 5 But Whoever Moves The Cars Around At The Barge Stole My Dash Camera And My Cobb Access Port. Totaling $1300 Worth Of Stuff. I Know I Signed A Waiver For Personal Items Being In The Vehicles So Thats On Me! BUT These Items Was Hidden And Tucked Away; You Would Need To Look Good To Find These 2 Items. So Be Aware Because The Barge People Got Sticky Fingers; Not Hawai’i Car Transport

Very professional, very informative, very organized. If it any point, I had questions, someone was always able to respond in a very timely manner. Chase & Rebecca in office were great & extremely patient to work with. They were very adaptive to my special requirements. I shipped from the middle of Canada all the way to Maui!!
