Continuously approves more homes, the infrastructure can not handle the amount of traffic that comes through daily, even worse when there are accidents on the freeway or surrounding areas. Roads are a mess, haven't been updated in 30 years. Deathtrap if a disaster happens. Prairie days has been cheapened. They also used taxpayers money to build facilities at the park that the citizens aren't allowed to use, they brought in porta pottys instead. So waste after waste. They also charge you for storm drains even if there isn't one in your area. Water prices continuously raise as well. ~ resident of the city of Yelm WA

What is the city of Yelm doing about the traffic in town? It has become insane. A unfinished bypass that is useless. Traffic unable to move through the lights, when you may have to wait until the next light changes. Even having to sit through three light cycles. People blocking intersections and driveways. Running red lights. This state and the city counsel do not even a plan. How many police officers do we currently have? This used to be a"community", now it's the new residents from those blue cities, Olympia and Tacoma who only sleep here. A new development, with 180 homes, at least adding 360 new cars to try to get into town. Yay.
We already can have stop and go traffic, sometimes all the way from the casino to McKenna. And what happens, if there is an accident, anywhere from hwy 512 to Hawks Prairie, on I-5? Grid lock!! GET THE BYPASS DONE!!
Also, those road warriors who get in the right lane at the casino, and try to force the left lane to slow, hit the brakes, and slow everyone behind me down to a crawl. That leads to road rage, I'm guilty of that, I will not allow you to do that, you don't have that right. Why should the rest of us have to slow down, because you feel entitled? You aren't. Please merge safely.

Watch your water bills! Apparently the City of Yelm utilities charges you for work that's not completed. When I called to ask for an explanation of the charges I was told that 'There is no way for us to go back to figure out what happened so there is nothing I can do'. I must have talked to the worst rep ever, she comes off like she hates her job and whoever she talks to is going to know about it
