I had a terrible experience with Platton Shipping. They originally quoted me a little over $8,500 to ship 11 vending machines from China to my business. Later, the price went up to $9,500, and then I got a final bill for $15,500. When I refused to pay, they lowered it to $14,228.

From the start, their manager, Fernando, ignored my instructions on how to pack the vending machines. Because of this, the whole process was delayed by nearly two months. It took them over two months just to pick up, pack, and load the machines into a container.

Even though another company offered me the same service for $12,000, I chose Platton because their CEO, Maxim Kurshnitski, kept asking me to work with them for a year. He promised they’d do a good job, but it was a disaster. When the prices kept going up, Maxim blamed his team for making mistakes but still expected me to pay.

The company’s communication was a mess. Maxim avoided my calls when there were problems, and none of their staff seemed to know what was going on. When the container arrived at the NY port, I told their managers several times that I needed a truck with a liftgate because my warehouse doesn’t have a dock. They said they understood, but they sent a regular truck without a liftgate, causing another three-day delay while they found the right truck.

To make things worse, one of the vending machines arrived with broken door and glass, which cost me over $1,000 to fix and caused even more delays for my business. I sent a claim for the damage, but Maxim never answered my calls, and their other staff just gave me excuses.

In the end, I paid almost $3,000 more than I would have with another company, lost two months of time, damages on one of my vending machines with broken glass and door and dealt with unorganized and unprofessional service. I strongly recommend doing business elsewhere.

This company is fraud. Stay away!

Max gave me an estimate for clear custom import which is lower than other companies. It was $305. However, when the invoice came, the amount is $1531.44! They also try to black mail me on the timing, they were telling me if I don’t pay, the airline storage fee will in thousands. So I paid what they asked me to pay. However, when I try to pick up the items, the Aircargo said there are fees not paid.
Platoon’s “ accounting” department Arthur were trying to charge me $235 for $200 storage fee ISC ( which I already paid in the invoice of $1531.41) but they did not pay the airline. The Aircargo people are very nice, they were trying to help me to pay the fee first to avoid additional storage fee. They are asking for 200 not $235!
Arthur said $35 for credit charge on $200!
Max, ( the person who I deal first, the owner?) also quoted me $75 for the bound, then he came back increased to $450, they said it is because of your shipment value is higher.
I gave him the value of my shipment from day one! He send the qoute to me repeatedly for $75 bond!
Also try to charge me $25 notary fee, using the platform to fill out the form fee…
Stay away!!!
