I hired Joel this past July to move me from my 1 bedroom apt, to a temporary storage facility, and then into my permanent residence, all within 5 miles of each other. I was in California on a temporary duty assignment, so I was in need of packing service as well. Joel assured me he has great packers.
As you can see from the pictures the packers were very sloppy. I wish I took a picture of the box that had food and cleaning chemicals in the same box!
Come October when the movers brought my belongings to the house, I realize I am missing a good amount of items worth approximately $500, probably one big box that would have contained many kitchen items (containers, measuring cups, cutting boards), tools and a power drill, a big bottle of expensive hair conditioner, an expensive pair of boots, and probably many other things that aren't apparent right now until I go to look for them and realize I haven't seen them since I left my apartment.
I messaged Joel when I noticed the missing items. Do you think he responded Nope!!! Totally ghosted me.
You would think for $2500 I would have received top-notch service.
If you value your property, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

AWESOME MOVING EXPERIENCE!! We hired Move Myrtle Beach to move our home from Myrtle Beach to Northern Virginia. It's always stressful and typically expensive to move and especially across 2 states. You always have the concern on whether a mover will get your household goods to point A to point B in one piece and quickly. I really wish that I had a good experience with this company because it would have been great to have a mover in the future but my experience was horrible and the owner doesn’t seem to care! I was sent 2 movers(paid hourly) and was told that everything would be wrapped and taken care of. My initial complaint was that one of the movers had no interest in being there and mostly hung out on the truck....he said he doesn’t do stairs and was only moving things that needed 2 people. I was under the impression that he was wrapping the items on the truck but since several of my items were damaged that was not the case, he was draping blankets over them. I was very upset to open my Christmas ornaments and find that all of my grandmothers ornaments were ruined(they were bubble wrapped and packaged before being put into a tote and packed with newspaper). I contacted the owner about the situation and he didn’t seem concerned at all about my experience. The bill was excessive for the service that I received and I wouldn’t recommend this company!

Edited to respond to your response: a company can have 9 great experiences then make a mistake and a good company admits their faults. If you had tried to rectify this situation we would not be having this conversation, when I contacted you immediately following the service you were grateful that I brought it to your attention so you could rectify it but then never did...can you please explain to me how I am trying to get it for free since I already paid you? If I wasn’t looking to pay for the service wouldn’t have hired you..but for a company who preaches about hiring an insured company I don’t really see the point since you damaged my furniture and don’t care. If I hadn’t wanted this service I would have done the move myself which I wish that I did because I did a lot of the moving anyway.
One of the movers did work very hard, while the other was not interested in working and when I addressed that with you you talked to the other mover and then agreed with me(and you made it seem as though he no longer works for you). You were in fact not here for my move, you stopped by at the beginning and there were not any issues at the time but you never came at the end so you certainly could not know the condition of my furniture and I sent you pictures showing the damage! I also called you when they didn’t show up to unload the furniture for more than an hour and you didn’t know where they were(I still firmly believe that you should not have charged me for that lunch break).
I have no interest in causing damage to your company, I am trying to protect other people from having the same experience that I had. I was not provided with the service that you described when we first talked and I certainly would not hire your company again knowing that I would be overcharged, my furniture would be damaged and the response from the business owner would be unprofessional and disrespectful. Before someone hires your company they need to know the experience that they may be getting.

This group of gentlemen were an absolute pleasure to work with. They arrived within 15 mins of time discussed, loaded furniture, delivered & set up bed for me. No damages found during move/delivery & very polite. Would highly recommend.

We just recently moved. And used move Myrtle beach. They did an outstating job of loading our things with care. They took extra time to protect the walls and floors of ou new house.
Excellent pricing for our move. Would use them again in the future.
