Alpine Homes recently completed my new home and office and we could not be happier with the final product. Bjorn's crew and subcontractors did a stunning job. I was at the job site often and I regularly heard the sub contractors talk about how perfect the foundation and framing were. Many of my friends have been amazed that the framers were able to construct the timber framed porch elements so flawlessly since it is normally done by a specialty contractor.
From start to finish these guys are professionals. Alpine Homes also built my parents home several years ago and they echo my same comments. Whenever questions have come up Bjorn has been quick to respond and has taken care of every concern that I have had. I am able to give them my fullest recommendation and would not hesitate to use them again.

We built a home with Alpine Homes in 2016. They are experienced and honest. Before we decided on a builder I met with several and the bids would always include low end finishes no matter how many times I told them that is not what I want. I was worried about “change order fees”. Alpine homes listened and provided an accurate bid with quality finishes and the finishes I asked for on the first meeting.

There were no hidden costs throughout building even if I changed something, just a straight percentage on the bill every month. Communication was easy. My husband was busy while we built so I was the one who talked to the builders, Bejorn and Nate were always respectful. I appreciate their honesty and hard work on my home.

We started working with Bjorn approximately a year ago. He seemed to be very passive and did not have a system in place to keep the process moving. He seemed to be making up things as we went along. The cabinet supplier for some reason said they would not work with him. Then we went to someone else and the quality of their cabinets was poor. So then we went to a third cabinet maker. Same issue with flooring. The first place we went to for flooring had an employee out ill and didn't replace them with anyone so we then had to go to a second place for flooring. After working with him for a year he became non responsive and never gave us a bid when he said he would provide one. Their fees are a lot higher than other builders in this area. With all of the time we wasted we could have hired a consultant and built our own house by now.

We gave Bjorn the plans as well as very detailed spec sheets of what we wanted. I put in a tremendous amount of work and time to provide them with the information needed so we could find out how much it would cost to build our custom home. We still don’t have a bid.

With that said and in all fairness, some of the delays were also caused by others like the plan designer who took a year to design our home but there were errors so we had to scrap the plans, start all over and hire a new plan designer. We lost our money on that set of plans and engineering. However even after we hired a new designer and provided Bjorn with the plans we still haven’t receive a bid. We are giving up at this point. Then the kitchen cabinet designer never followed through but Bjorn had enough information to work on getting us a bid.

We were given a heads up by someone else who said we should insist on weekly meetings because of poor communication. We weren’t that far along in the process so we never had weekly meetings but I had to always be the one to engage them and it was exhausting. We wasted an entire year forging a relationship with Alpine and in the meantime costs to build our home have gone up 200,000.00. I’m not happy to say the least.

The other thing we noticed is several + reviews were suddenly posted five months ago. Prior to that there was one negative review that dragged down this builders rating. It seems odd that during COVID that Alpine built that many homes during a short period of time.

Based on our experience we do not recommend this builder!!

We contracted with Alpine Homes in 2021 to build our custom home. Throughout the process they were very professional and maintained excellent communications. In 2021 there were occasional supply issues which they worked through very expediently. I would recommend this company to anyone building a new home.

I would highly recommend that you use Alpine Homes as your next builder. There are many builders out there that will give you a lower priced bid up front but halfway into the project you start finding out how much work you have to do yourself, how much you have to pay to have done that wasn’t included in the contract, or you find out that the bid was priced out using lower quality finishes that you didn’t even want. Say no to the tricky builders and give Alpine a try.

Alpine Homes gave us our dream (very custom) home! We still pinch ourselves that we get to live here 1.5 years after completion. They always went above and beyond to answer our questions, put in extra time (even on a Saturday) if needed, and chose quality over quick/cheap.
