Edit: this morning my daughters principal commited a crime on school grounds towards me and my kids, the school disfrict is protectkng her and trying to paint me as the bad guy and refusing to look into tjis situation.... *** Before I had my own kids in the evergreen district.... I myself went to the evergreen district, where on multiple occasions I was treated horribly. One teacher even dragged my by my hair on one occasion, my wrist another, and another teacher threw a chair at me in anger. When I expressed this to the vice principal at BBC she assured me these things don't happen anymore and my daughter was in safe hands. Immediately, the very first day I enrolled my girl in school.... the principal accused me of cussing and yelling at her front desk lady. Which did. Not. Happen. However the principal admitted to lying and said "well see how you feel attacked right now? She felt like you were yelling and cussing st her"... didn't yelll.... did not raise my voice. Hardly said 5-10 words to the woman. I asked that the principal handle these situations with a little better conflict resolution. To be met with MORE hostility. They didn't put my daughter on the bus, then the principal YELLED AT ME THAT ITS MY FAULT I DIDNT TELL THEM WHICH BUS TO PUT HER ON. The bus barn did call them afterwards and remind them, it is in fact the schools responsibility to know which bus to put them on. And if they do not, to call and find out. The principal, still, refused to acknowledge any fault in this situation. I filed a grievance and set up a meeting with miss Odaniel the principal of BBC.... for her to dismiss any idea I might have a concern.... and to walk out of the meeting within maybe 1-2 minutes and saying she doesn't see it going anywhere productive. The district isn't taking anything seriously. I'm terrified for my kids safety here. And they do not care.

The front office staff are always very helpful. The teacher I work with is a fantastic educator.

The district's budget for next year is insane. We paid for the district' s new office building after they assured tax players they were moving to Burton Elementary. Well, that didn't work out and that's okay. Just next time they want a levy or bond passed, they shouldn't say "Kids First", because that hasn't been the case for many years. I have lived in this district for over 45 years. I'm grateful that I do not have school age kids. Maybe cut the superintendent pay and anyone else making over $130 thousand a year. Superintendent salary over $300 thousand for 2021-2022 school year. Time to flood School Board and have them explain. Nowhere do I see football getting cut. Are you all aware that girls sports gets a ride to their games but need to find their own ride home? Maybe not all girls sports but I know for a fact girls softball has to find a ride home.

Major issues would be a very big lack in communication with parents. Forced use of apps, which is BS. Principal never at the school. Unable to contact principal or any other staff member. Constant smell of marijuana in the school and around campus. Overall, very unprofessional, unreliable, and forced indoctrination

Shame on the district office for approving a budget that negatively affects our children and our student facing staff. Shame on you for lining your pockets with lage salaries and larger raises than a para educator makes in a year. Shame on you for not listening to parents and cutting our school librarians. Shame on you.

When you hear the laziness of the teachers and the fact that it is accepted by the current Super intendent and principles at the school locations truely shows what matters here. Teachers and the administrative staff only work to what they are paid. They do not care or try to help students showing how much our youth and future are meaning to these teachers and admin staff.
I do not find it acceptable that a teacher isn't looked at as if they are in the wrong if a student is having troubles only the parents get blamed. All students are different each child is different help them and not expect them to conform to your needs. This isn't your world it is the futures world.
Changes need to be made to the teaching efforts and the higher "management" just because a parent had a different view a principal and or VP should not puff out there chest and act big for a different view. A much more professional manner needs to be established it is quite disappointing that the higher management staff is okay with this. There is multiple problems among the school district that needs changing. It should be changed.

Not sure how school district changed from 2004 to currently. Always felt our kids were free from any harm. That schools regardless where kids attended would treat my kids as if they are their own kids. We have had our boys at Mountain View. (Union HS rocks! I assume that has nothing to do with the district) Various elementary schools and home choice academy, etc. I wish I didn’t have to post about our son attending Shahala. Can’t speak for how recess goes everywhere else, but their insurance plan they have with Clear Risk Management is quite telling. Our family has always signed waivers for football. Injuries occur. But none have ever been so extreme as our son incurred while playing basket ball at recess last month. I don’t understand how it is reasonable to drop our kids off at school and the get a call to come get them due to recess. I couldn’t believe what I was looking at. Nor can I accept it is reasonable for our kids to end up at ER and then undergo sedation surgery. I don’t know if I’m the only parent upset about no one at school being held accountable or that the incident report is inaccurate etc but I never expected the sarcasm from their insurance people or that I would be forced to learn what a tort claim is. Children and families deserve better from their district. Liability insurance shouldn’t be this hard to fight for on their watch! And from what the local media has told me, I’m not alone. Only hiring an attorney will get them to move. What a shame indeed!!

I say replace these teachers as soon as you can so we can get our excited little ones in school. They got the teaching degree and are now whining and all the teachers that I had growing up in this district were not that good and certainly not worth a raise. We all could use a pay raise, but you don't see any of us with signs outside our job.
