We recently had the pleasure of working with JDI Construction on a full downstairs remodel, and the results exceeded our expectations in every way!

Art and our project manager, Mark M, were fantastic to work with. They took the time to listen to our ideas, offered valuable suggestions, and paid great attention to detail, making sure that every part of the remodel was done to perfection. They were always available to answer questions, provide updates, and ensured we were on the same page throughout, which made the entire process as smooth and stress-free as possible. JDI and its crews take great pride in their work, and it truly shows in the final product. The quality of craftsmanship is evident in every corner of the space. I had a great experience working with JDI's Art (owner), Alex (project manager), Vlad (painting & hardware installation), Joseph (tiles), and team! They’re a family business where each of them displayed a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. We mostly worked with Alex for a majority of the scheduling, questions we had, and requests we wanted to make. He was very communicative and responsive via texts, and often visited the house to check on the progress.

We had a full bathroom renovation with a design already prepared. I am happy to say they brought the design to life, and more, using their vast experience and strong craftsmanship. The materials they used, such as for the vanity cabinets, the quartz of the countertop, and the glass & hardware of the shower were great quality! Their tile installer, Joseph, did AMAZING work on the bathroom floor and shower space. He applied the tiles and grout with precision and care. The cuts he made into the large format tiles were clean and minimal, even with mitered edges. Vlad did a lot of finishing touches, such as hardware and painting. He has an eye for detail (ex. measurements, placement, and works cleanly), and a good sense of aesthetics (ex. finish on materials, types of hardware). He knows alot of various bathroom design details! He made some valuable suggestions that we are glad we went with.

At no point did we feel they were pushy or had to question their priorities. They treated us with utmost respect, and were so receptive to anything we asked of them. I look forward to working with them again… maybe the kitchen next!

Art, Erick, and the JDI team recently did a great job renovating our Kitchen and master bath. The finished product came out beautiful. We had a few hiccups as I’m sure any project like this does but in the end Erick and Art addressed any issues promptly . This project finished not only on time, but within budget which is a huge deal in the world of renovations. JDI is efficient in their work and communicates very well. We had a group text going between myself, my wife, and Erick which made communication a breeze through the entire project. My wife and I did this whole update without a designer. Erik helped us with some of the design decisions and was very helpful bringing some of our design ideas to life. We absolutely love our new Kitchen and bath! We are very happy we chose JDI for this project and would happily use them again in the future.

Summary:
We had the best experience getting our bathroom remodeled with this company! JDI is a family-run company that exceeded expectations for both quality as well as process (e.g., timely, helpful, and friendly communication as well as adhering to the timeline and the budget). Also, they didn’t do any of the scammy things (e.g., high-pressure sales tactics) that other companies that we considered did. We will definitely use JDI again and we cannot recommend them highly enough!

*Quality of the work
Our original bathroom was poorly lit, had a dysfunctional layout, and had some major quirks (e.g., the floor not being level so you feel unbalanced when you sit on the toilet). Our new bathroom is well-designed and absolutely stunning!! After listening to our vision of how we would like the bathroom to be transformed and our timeline & budgetary constraints, JDI proposed a big picture plan of how to reconfigure the bathroom. They told us that we actually do have a sizable space for a bathroom and that if the layout was reconfigured, this would be a highly functional and standard bathroom layout. We upgraded to a much larger shower that has a window for natural light, a great shower head fixture they recommended, and four angled storage shelves for ample storage for all of my hair products! We splurged on a fancy vanity and a mirrored, lighted medicine cabinet over the sink (where the original window used to be), which dramatically increased our storage space! The small toilet was replaced with an elongated design and was positioned between the vanity & the shower; it was also rotated so that your feet are both at the same angle and thus it doesn’t feel like you are unbalanced when you sit down anymore! The tile work is absolutely gorgeous - the different tile shapes added visual interest (subway in the shower & hexagon on the floor) but they were cohesive because they’re both white. The glossy black baseboard tiles made the whole bathroom look polished because it visually connected the black shower frame and the black transition between bathroom & kitchen while also providing a nice way to marry the slightly different shades of white in the project that might otherwise contrast (e.g., alabaster white paint and the bright white hexagon tile)! I raised the concern about the marble countertop being porous so they sealed it for me. This bathroom is so beautiful that it feels like it belongs in a luxury hotel! The bathroom went from the biggest eyesore and a storage nightmare to our favorite room in the house.

*Excellent communication:
Our project manager, Alex, coordinated with various team members (e.g., the tile installer, the drywall crew, the plumber), who were all in-house team members, I might add! He let me know when to expect the crew at the house via text the night before as well as via the BuilderTrend app (which has a calendar and a daily log; see screenshots). Alex handled any issues I texted him about quickly and he did regular site visits to check on things more proactively. They thoughtfully helped us make the best decisions (e.g., deciding whether to level the whole floor or just the shower area; choosing a color of grout that looks neat and is low-maintenance). They were so easy to work with!

Can’t say enough good things about JDI construction. We’ve been a vendor for several years now. They are a pleasure to work with, the project management is fantastic and on schedule. When we come to the project our space we are working is ready to go. There’s not 5 contracts in one space all trying to do their part. It really gives you the space to do our job at the highest level and highest quality.
One thing I’ll add, they really do care about making sure everything is perfect. From the design to the final product it’s truly remarkable. If you want a job well done you can’t go wrong with JDI!

I worked with JDI to remodel my guest bathroom - it was a total replacement. They were very flexible and worked quickly to stay on schedule as much as possible to get it done. Their workmanship was second to none. They are an all in one company where they can do and install everything - shower doors, cabinetry, tile, plumbing etc. If I had a question or concern, they worked quickly to resolve it. They also stayed on budget which I really appreciated. I recommend JDI Construction highly as an easy to work with, reasonable, family run company.

JDI did a great job on our kitchen.

Having renovated 4 homes in 4 decades, we are not new to the process. Our design plans required taking our dated kitchen down to the studs, changing the awkward footprint, building custom cabinetry and installing new appliances.

We got 3 contractor bids, all of which were within our budget. But JDI had a plan to finish the job in 2 months, while the others required 3-4 months to complete. Their schedule was aggressive but seemed doable.

Their project manager, Eric, was very buttoned up and a good communicator. His crews were on time and, when necessary, worked on weekends to stay on schedule. They are true craftsmen and our kitchen is beautiful.

I'm so glad we chose them.
