Great value. Friendly staff. Easy access. Got rid of a truck bed of scrap lumber at a price ($11) roughly equal to what the transfer station charges just to get in ($10). Just make sure to stack your load efficiently because they charge by the yard and not the pound.

Definitely the place to go for wood and yard debris disposal.

Used to live in Orchards and used them regularly, love their 3 way blend for garden/flower beds and their splinterless bright hemlock. Other than wait times being longer when the weather's nice, I have not had any issues with their service. We have since sold our house and moved into a rental near mill plain. With everything going on and staying at home, decided to build some garden beds 4' x 8' x 19". Used the calculator on their website and called to order 4 yards of 3 way delivered. They said they were booked out until may so I said I'd call them back. On Friday I called back as soon as they opened to put the order in and turns out they had a cancellation and could have it delivered @ 11am which worked out perfectly. On top of that the driver showed up almost an hour early, which again worked out great for us to be able to move the dirt and have the rest of the weekend to relax. Thanks H & H!

I've been taking my yard debris from my business to these guys for a few years and they have always treated me with respect. The prices are fair, the workers are cool and I have had zero problems every time I've gone. Id highly recommend them if for any other reason, the employees. Thanks everyone at the booth, you make my day Everytime I come there.

One Star is too good

2/27/19, one trailer 9' x 5' x 2.5', tree branches piled 3-feet above the trailer bed rails, estimated at 4.25 Cubic Yards (they rounded it down to 4 cubic yards), price $56. (I felt this was acceptable)

3/4/19, same trailer 9' x 5' x 2.5', tree branches even with trailer bed rails (see photo), estimated at 4 Cubic Yards, price $56. (Less than half the amount of debris than above trip. (Not Acceptable))

I questioned the amount and the yard attendant said I underpaid the week before. (no understanding)
Called to complain when I got home and all I received was a lesson on how they measure loads.
They make up the estimating rules as they please. These trips are my First - Second and Last Visits to H&H Wood Recycle.

Don't get ripped off

If you have yard debris, you are better off taking it down the Street to Central Transfer and Recycling. I took a dump trailer full of tree branches to H & H they measure the Trailer and said $108. I told them NO thank you , took it 1/2 mile down the street to Central Transfer , it was $36. H & H goes by how many yards your trailer holds and they overcharge all the time.... not to mention they use the debris to make mulch and Sale it right back to you at a huge price. You get burned twice. If you like to over pay go to H&H.
I was trying to be a good citizen and recycle this Tree Debris , I could have burned it on my property. Now that I know what a rip off H & H is , I will think twice about recycling. I wonder if they get any State Incentives .... hmmmm..... greed s.o.b...es.

I love this place, their 3-way soil is amazing and I get it almost every year to fill raised beds. It’s the perfect texture and mixture, every plant I’ve used it with-flowers or vegetables/fruit—has loved it and responded very well. If you have a trailer you can go pick up a yard or two at a time (check your weight rating, one yard is enough for a 2000 lb trailer) or you can have it delivered. They had to raise prices just like everywhere else but they are 100% worth it. They’ve always been perfectly nice with me whether in person or on the phone. Anyone who has issues with a little gruffness here and there has to remember that this it’s a wood recycling place with heavy machinery, noise, dirt, and safety practices everywhere you look, not the valet at a Ruth’s Chris, people. 😉 Love you folks!

I have been using H&H recycling for decades and they have been consistently respectful and efficient. My dropoff has included truck bed loads of yard debris and wood. The price has generally been less expensive than the dump down the road.

Such a ripoff. We have been taking our 8’x4’x2’ trailer here to dump yard waste for several years and it has always been $32-36. Today they charged us $90! Claimed we had 5 yards of debris in our trailer. Impossible! They claimed it was due to height but it was barely over the top of our trailer. There is no possible way we could have fit 5 yards in that small trailer. Maybe hire people that know how to use a tape.
