So i had my ups and downs with move myrtle beach. I don't believe in leaving anything out so I'll share both. I sold my house and needed to move everything into storage. Getting it setup was easy enough and they were on time and friendly. The only bad thing that happened when they were packing up my first house was one of the movers scuffed up a wall when he moved a dresser. Not a big issue, i was moving out. Fast forward 2.5 years later when i was finally moving into a new house, i called and said i was ready. Again, easy to setup and they were there to unload everything when i needed it done. My bedframe had some small scuffs and there was 1 box that some stuff was broken in, but i just chalked it up to moving and things like that happen. Never even mentioned it because I'm a pretty easy guy to work with. The movers had to make 2 trips because it all wouldn't fit on the truck(but it did the first time). So now I'm paying for them to go back and get the rest of my stuff, as well as load up someone else's stuff for the next house they're going to(i checked the hours on the bill and yeah, i was charged for that time). Whatever, i didn't say anything because again, I'm a really easy person to work with. I had one big issue. My bar with a stone top was broken on the corner when they moved it. Mind you, this was an almost $2,000 bar. I didn't have a spot for it in my new house so i was planning to sell it, but it'd be harder to sell/sold for less money if it was damaged. The owner knew it happened and i gave it a few days before i called to check back with him about it. He said he'd come over to look and he did, several hours later than he said he would. He checked it out and took responsibilty for it. I said i was fine with either having it fixed or just some money to compensate me for having to sell it for less. He said he'd look into getting it repaired and left. About a week went by and no answer so i called again to check in. He said he was talking to some people about it but it was kind of unknown territory since he'd never had to deal with broken stone before. I was patient and waited maybe another 10-12 days before reaching out again. He said he still wasn't sure about how to get it repaired so i said some money would be fine. And not a lot, i said $75-$100. That's all i wanted. He said okay and he'd be by later that day to drop it off. Never showed up, never heard anything from him. I spent the rest of my day off waiting when i could've been doing other things. It's been a month since it was broken. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he's just been busy and forgot, but i shouldn't have to keep chasing someone to fix something that was their fault. It's more about the principal than anything. I was a fair person who paid $8,000 (moving and 2.5 years of storage) when he was asked to, but can't even get $100 back for an expensive piece that was damaged. Overall I'll say the experience was average, could've been better. I won't go as far as to say don't use them, but make sure you're compensated for damages before you pay. This just goes to show that the nicer you are, the less important you are to people because they know they don't have to worry about you, as opposed to someone who is rude and impatient. I don't want the money anymore, keep it. No need to call or stop by. Our business is concluded so let's keep it that way. It was just the principal of the matter and i really don't care anymore.

Absolutely Terrific!!! We just moved from Myrtle Beach to Johns Island and we used Move Myrtle Beach! We haven''t moved in 30 years so we had no idea what to expect! They were on time for the packing and loading...it took an entire 3 days. It was a nightmare for my wife and I but Joel, the owner, and his guys made it tolerable. They were communicative, cooperative, transparent about everything, and most important of all they did the job well and on time! Joel estimated the cost lower than anyone else I had asked and I'm sure we had more to move than he could have ever expected. His final price was a bit over the estimate but still thousands under any of the other estimates.
GREAT JOB! MOVE MYRTLE BEACH! MOVING? CALL ME! USE THEM!

Update: despite owner saying we could talk and get this resolved has still not repaired or replaced the furniture they damaged when moving us in july. Have made endless calls and have no resolution still.
Very poor movers, would avoid at all cost. Arrived with too small of a truck, then proceeded to jam it full. Damaged multiple items, which 6 months later they have still not repaired or paid for. In addition I spent hours moving all the things they left behind once their truck was full. Would not recommend, would rather move myself with a U haul. Nothing was ever remedied, despite the below response. 2 years have found much better if you need a mover.

What a great crew! These guys were consummate professionals, who were polite, friendly and efficient! They worked their butts off and had my whole place cleared out in 2.5 hours! They took care with every last piece of furniture and each box. Stanley did a phenomenal job packing the truck while Chris and Jackson moved everything out. I can’t say enough good things about Move Myrtle Beach! And the price quote was spot on and very reasonable. I highly recommend Move Myrtle Beach!!

the price was the best option out of several places we searched for. they were able to book us on short notice, scheduling us for the next day.

I wish I had a better experience with this company. we expected to have three guys help us move, but only two showed up. it was $90/hr for 2 guys or $110/hr for 3. one guy worked very hard, but the other had health issues and couldn't really do anything. they did spend a lot of time smoking cigarettes, talking to neighbors/on the phone, etc while we were being charged by the hour. a couple pieces of new furniture ended up being damaged during the moving process and due to the length of time it took the two guys, I called the owner who ended up showing up at 5:30 with 3 other guys and a kid. it didn't take much longer once we had 6 people working. they asked to pay $945 in total, but we ended up compromising at 745 due to the damage of the furniture and the understanding that the job shouldn't have taken as long as it did.

definitely could have been better. make sure they wrap all of your furniture, make sure they remain focused while on the clock, and it will be a good and affordable option to hire as your moving company.

On my moving day, the movers never showed up. I was moving from another state. When I called the owner, he said that he forgot to put my move on his calendar, despite multiple emails and phone calls to ensure that I was on his calendar. I submitted his email verification for the date, and the estimated price. The owner then scrambled to put together a team and sent them to my home. Now the move was a day late and new arrangements had to be made for someone to be present at my home as I had a flight to SC, and hotel reservations, plus people waiting for me in SC to help with the move. When the movers arrived with my items, I found that many of my belongs were damaged. My belongings were not treated with any care, whatsoever. I think the owner hired people off the street to do this move because he needed to get a team together expeditiously. The legs were broken off my piano; my lamps and lamp shades were broken; my smart tv was broken; there was grease on my mattresses, box springs, arm chair, sofa and love seat; I had broken dishes; broken frames on artwork and photos; broken vases; broken mirror frames; and banged up and scuffed furniture. The movers failed to load my patio furniture, despite renting a uHaul to attach to their truck. They said, "It probably would have been too hard to fit." The movers also left a bedframe on the POD, along with some other items. I know there are further damaged pieces, but I stopped unpacking. This company has an A+ rating on the BBB, so I expected the services to be excellent, although I would have settled for "good." I'm writing this to inform other potential clients of my devastating experience. I gave one star because there was no option for zero stars.

These guys were wonderful. Moved from SC to Ohio. Had a great crew, they were fast, on time. The company owner was there as well. My move was the only one on the truck. They practically followed me on the road trip. They arrived about an hour after I arrived at my new home. The quote given was accurate. I could not be more satisfied with a moving company. Do not hesitate to use this company. THANK YOU, MoveMyrtleBeach. By Far the best move I have ever made and I have experience in this.

Call, no answer. Call, no answer. Call, voice mail, no answer.

Move MB is the local mover for a mattress I ordered. Both the mattress company and I have been trying to get in contact and there's been zero movement for a week now.
