I went through at Panera off Debo Drive in Carolina forest the drive thru on 2/19/25 around 5 pm . The customer service was the worst and the 2 Chicken salad sandwiches ($20) I ordered were far from a chicken salad sandwich. It was 4 sandwich halves that had nothing but soggy bread and burned cheddar cheese on it. I was so disappointed to get home and see this. I will never recommend this location. There are some hateful people that have no customer service skills at this location. Sadly, my FIRST and LAST time eating at panera would be yesterday.

Panera’s was once such a treat. They have automated the cashier experience and in general there is very little contact with the staff. I do not agree with the automated system asking for a tip for the staff as there is no interaction so what am I tipping for? I ordered the ciabatta with bacon egg and cheese and an iced coffee. The food was delicious and filling and the store was spotless.

A visit to Panera Bread left us feeling disappointed. Pictured is what wetboufht we were getting. Our order was less than to say the least. Same on you for offering subpar items. The sliver of avacado was hard as a rock, the tomato had the corein it. The grease was thick in the bacon, nothing was hot. 4 small piece of cantaloupe, no grapes or pineapple. And the coffee was ok, but for goodness sake...the kiosk to order, pick up food youself and clean the table for bad, expensive food? Never again.

It’s quiet, so a great place to sit and work - or just think. I don’t eat here much. I like the iced coffees here, what I usually get.

Another company down the tubes since the pandemic.
I was craving the Napa Almond Chicken salad, only to find out it was off the menu (no reason why as it’s one of the few things that don’t taste like a cardboard & styrofoam sandwich) when I went through the drive thru.

I was greeted with whispers from the employees. I had to ask 4-5x for answers to my questions because NO ONE would speak louder than a whisper.

I placed my order for two 1/2 sandwiches (1 caprese & 1 bbq chicken) and 3 cookies. $30. I should have just left then, but I had driven 18 miles in the pouring rain to get my chicken salad, so I figured I’ll try something for the trip. I was the ONLY PERSON in the drive thru and there were maybe 4 ppl eating inside.

21 minutes later, I was brought my food crammed into the smallest bag possible. No pickles either, I might add. Stale cookies too.

I decide to not let it bother me and just head home and eat, so I get home, open up the caprese whatever sandwich and you see the pic. 4 pieces of lettuce, 2 wilted tomato slices, one being an end piece with root knot. Unreal. Worst looking sandwich ever. Low IQ Burger King quality.

BBQ sandwich was about half the size of a pop tart and twice as thick. A $5 sandwich at best.

Panera is as bad as all the other chains now, including Chick-fil-A. They’ve all stumbled after the pandemic and are no longer deserving of our money. Did I mention the female manager was a grouch & snappy over the drive thru because I couldn’t hear Shy Ronnie over the speaker because he was whispering.
Panera on 501 is horrible. T wouldn’t surprise me to see them closed by summer.
0 stars.

When I got my food half the Sandwhich was on the bottom of the bag… that should’ve been my first red flag however, I still ate it anyway.
In the middle of the night I woke up with severe…. Well you can imagine. I've been in bed all day. Finally after about 24 hours I'm starting to feel better. Don't eat here unless you would like to risk it the next day.

And yes this is the only food I had that day… so odds are something was up. Beware, I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Make a different choice!!! I thought all Panera's were the same. I was wrong. I ordered grilled cheese - it was neither grilled or toasted. My tomato soup was acidic. Mango smoothie was very watery and agave lemonade was tasteless. No good.

I will say - the oatmeal raisin cookie was outstanding!!!

This place needs a corporate or franchise visit. The staff is rude, the manager looks like he just rolled out of bed, and the whole place is absolutely disgusting. I know not all Panera Bread's are like this one but there are a lot of them trending in this direction!
