WM service here in Kirkland is generally pretty good. Occasionally they will miss picking up one of my 3 bins but it is rare. I give them 4 stars out of 5 because whenever the do miss a service pickup, they will usually just tell us to wait to the following week and they will pickup twice as much. Only issue with that is I will often have a full bin and you cannot place recycle waste in bags. It's just not practical. But like I said, most of the time all good.

WM comes at the same time. Drivers are friendly and will help the homeowner if necessary. The container is usually left upright. The driver will usually pick up if something falls during the transfer. I was once charged a fee but I only got a photo for an explanation. It would be nice to get an explanation.

The team is great ...always on time and handle everything thrown at them. The clarity provided regarding what items are garbage and recycle are excellent. One item to consider ...when leaving a negative message for a home owner regarding how close the two bins are together or how close they are to a parked auto could be calmed. The incident in question happened after a local business worker parked their car on top of our bins.
Just a thought and nothing broken!!

This place is trash, no pun intended. Put trash and recycling out at the same time. Recycling gets picked up but trash doesn’t sometimes. When you call and ask them to come back, if they don’t hang up on you on the phone, the driver allegedly inputs in the system that the can wasn’t even out. Funny how the recycling driver was able to grab the can that’s literally right next to it. If they come back out, they say the can wasn’t out again. It’s literally unobstructed and in clear view. Customer service takes at least 10 minutes to pick up but only 30 seconds to put you on hold for ten minutes just to disconnect you. The monopoly is palpable with these guys.

The service is generally reliable; however, we recently experienced an issue where one of their trucks was leaking an excessive amount of hydraulic fluid, leaving puddles in front of each home during pickup. This created a noticeable mess on the street and did not reflect the standard of quality we’ve come to expect from WM.

Most of the time things are pretty good. I set out my bins, they dump them. Drivers seem careful and friendly. Setting up the service and getting the cans was easy and quick.

The time of day that they show up usually falls in to a reasonable window, but every so often varies a lot. I never know in advance so I gotta put the bins out the night before and hope animals don't get in to them just in case it's the rare day they show up early in the morning (I learned the hard when when we missed a pickup once morning). But most days the bins sit out there until afternoon, sometimes very late afternoon. A little more consistency would be nice, but is not a big deal.

A bigger deal is what happens on snow days. 2 weeks ago it snowed at night while my bins were out waiting (and at my house, where they pick up the bins is NOT at the end of my driveway). One bin was picked up and the truck had no issues getting it. But the other bin was never picked up; at the end of the day they said sorry, we'll try again. That's OK; it happens.

But since then they have said 4 TIMES that hey, we'll get your bin on day X. The roads are fine. So 4 times (5 including the original day) I dragged my bin down there and left it all day. And then dragged it back up in the evening. They still haven't gotten it! Tomorrow is my normal pickup day; I'll have 3 weeks worth of garbage. It doesn't all fit in our small can, so I'll have to set out a bag. The crows will get in to it. (They've already spread a bunch of stuff the neighbors had out in bags for multiple days).

I understand there can be challenges, especially in cold weather. I'm happy to give them some latitude. But I think they can do better than this.

I live on 175th Ave NE in Redmond. After bins are emptied, they are frequently returned "to the sidewalk" or "4 feet out into the street".
This causes problems for the many walkers, strollers. etc and the parking of cars. We have 167 driveways and many parked cars on the curving roads in our community. It has become a hazard! I don't understand why they are not returned to the approximate same spot next to the curb where we park them prior to pick up.

When my garbage is picked up it's fine. However, in the last month it's been twice that it has not been picked up due to weather conditions. That excuse does not hold water as recycle was able to come to our neighborhood with no problem. The roads were not slick at all. I don't want the drivers to put themselves in danger as when it's icy, like in years past. That said, I also don't want it to be used for an excuse when there's just a driver shortage. I am also charged for these missed days. They don't come until the regular schedule of the next week. We can put extra garbage in there but that's not the problem. I don't think customers should have to pay for a service not rendered.
