Very friendly FBO with friendly folks and courtesy car (with reservation). Runway 17/35 is very long and in good condition. Runway 8/26 is in fair condition but rarely used (except for cropdusters, keep a lookout). A little-known fact is that aviation legend Robert A (Bob) Hoover was stationed here during the buildup to World War II for primary flight training. Looking around the airport, you can still see vestiges of the old hangars built during the war. The National Guard armory is located behind the FBO.
