I’ve been renting a storage unit for a little over 2 years. All that was in it was a sectional couch. Went to move it out and it has mold from the bottom to about mid way up. I’ve been paying $100 a month just to have mold on it. I could’ve paid $25 a month somewhere else and ended up with the same result, a ruined couch. They advertise climate controlled storage units but they aren’t at all. The concrete floor had condensation on it and the couch soaked it up from the floor. That’s not climate controlled! I complained to the guy in the office and he gave me their insurance information. When I called they told me that unless water was coming in my unit from the roof there was nothing they could do. What a joke!

UPDATE: Ryan from in the office was fantastic and tried helping me as much as possible but with no resolution. I do appreciate all of his help!

I have been a U-Storage customer for about 4 1/2 years. As a contractor, I move alot and I have traveled all over the USA. Knowing my belongings are safe and secure in a temperature controlled environment is priceless to me. Having U-Haul and my storage in one building has simplified my moves and time management. I found this storage unit to be very costly. I actually reserved a unit with a different uhaul storage unit in town and ended up at this one. It was twice the cost but i was exhausted from moving so i just took what i had in front of me. It was not ideal. They use a digital lock, which will lock you out as soon as the first rolls around if you haven’t paid it by some certain time. Then every few days they charge you an extra fee until you’re paying almost double for the month if you’re if you have to wait until the end of the month, I will only ever use AAA Storage from Now on. It’s half the cost And twice the amount of space. You’re not late until the 10th. And the person that operates, it is extremely professional and nice and not some Corporate entity or or rude in anyway. I didn’t really care for U Store in Searcy because I think that they’re overpriced. They offer very little space. It’s poorly lit so that when you have to go in at night for anything, you have to bring your own lamp and it better be battery operated because there’s no electricity around. AAA Storage is very well lit run by a professional and very reasonable woman who I would do business with 1000 times again.

Super fast and easy to sign up. The first month was even free. The rates are seem fair for size and being climate controlled. Would recommend using them.

Today I went to my storage to find a dead mouse just inside of my storage unit and part of my furniture has mold spots from moisture. Today I am not happy. I have had the unit since Last July and my last time there was in April. Before today I have not had this problem. I will be calling someone in the morning. Update! I went by today and spoke to Ryan that seemed very concerned. He is working with me to figure this situation out.

Clean place. I'm no longer going to use them though. They had told me I had till the end of the 16th before a late fee would be attached and when I come to pay, the late fee is there. So these people give conflicting information. Then they can't apparently resolve the issue. So. Yeah I'm out.
