Big airport in small town. Went there due to weather closing in (fog and freezing) . Arrived after FBO was closed for the day and left before they opened. So have know idea how they are. Town has no public transportation or taxi's. Called hotel had room but no way to pick me up that night. So I called the police department and was told they do not run a taxi service. Most places I have been they would give you a ride if you are stranded like I was. Did find a guy who came in late and gave me a ride and the hotel gave me one in the morning. Thought the people were nice to do that, but got lucky I did not have to rely on the police for help. So this is a warning if you have a choice to go to another airport because of weather like me go there. You might not get lucky like me and get a ride. If it was not for the kindness of the other pilot would have had to sleep in my plane in freezing temps.
