Love this place. However I didn't appreciate being followed around the store. Made me feel very uncomfortable! I get it, there's a lot of retail they, but you don't have to treat every single person that enters your store like they're a criminal. DID NOT APPRECIATE THAT AT ALL. But I do love the store, had that old school hardware store vibe

Was just in for a quick hardware grab. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Its been my experience consistently here always. Facilities and layout are somewhat drab and outdated, but it kind of gives it a laid-back atmosphere, gives it its uniqueness. You'll find what you need nonetheless....

Such an unfortunate and awful experience with this Ace location. If you are trying to order delivery or delivery with set-up - ORDER FROM ANOTHER ACE. I ordered a grill with assembly and scheduled a delivery date. Then received an email saying the item wasn't in stock and would be on the next shipment, but the delivery date wasn't changed. As it got closer to the assembly date, I started to get nervous about not having received any updates so called the store (2 days before planned delivery date), and they told me it was still on track to be delivered when I needed it. The day before delivery, I still hadn't received any additional updates, so called again to make sure it the shipment with the grill came in. The person I spoke to this time, told me it wouldn't come in by my delivery date or for at least 3 more days, but couldn't guarantee even that. My only option was to cancel the order, but at this point, it was too late to order from another store to get it by when I needed it. If I had received an email up-front with a realistic new delivery date, I could have cancelled and been able to order from a new place, which made the whole ordeal even more frustrating. On top of that, the people I spoke to were very combative and put the blame on me (?). Definitely recommend looking elsewhere!!!

I have been going to ACE on Fond Du Lac Avenue for decades. They are so knowledgeable, it is absolutely amazing. They've helped me out countless times, that place is EXCELLENT they have helped me out countless times. Mike, Jim, Jim Sr., & the staff is great.

My family and I, have been coming to this location for over 25 years. I have always found the owners, now owner, to be professional, and accommodating to the needs of their customers. I find it to be a convenient location, and it’s inventory is great. Also, for the most part, the long term regular employees were always polite and helpful. Now, it’s a different story with the younger ones that are there on the floor. Their work ethic is certainly different. My experiences with especially one of the young men at the back counter, has not been pleasant ones. I found him to be arrogant, unprofessional and unhelpful. I have asked to be helped on three different occasions, and have just basically been brushed off, and pointed in the general area of where I could find items myself. Well, I generally do look myself, before asking, but if unable too, I ask for the help of business employees, because I thought this was their job. I visited the store this morning, made purchases, needed assistance with heavy item, and when cashier called for help from the employee/s, I referred to prior, they wouldn’t even come up to assist me. They heard her call for assistance, and observed me standing at the counter up front. (I even thought this was an act of Disrespect to her by ignoring her call like they did) She had to end up taking heavy item to my car for me, because I’m a Senior Citizen, and have health issues. I think this behavior should be addressed by the owner, because if I get treated this way, there could be others getting the same poor customer service-NOT a good fit for business. Being treated in such a fashion, on more than one or two occasions, certainly doesn’t make me feel VALUED, as a customer.
