Back in June/July of 2021, I had some good imported from china and the brokerage team then was fantastic, it was the first time I had ever imported anything and they handled everything perfectly. They would send me updates regularly and always responded quick. This time around was the compete opposite, it took weeks for them to file an ISF-10+2 which ultimately almost lead me to being fined up to $10,000. That was back on October 17th-20th, they did not file till November 1st. My shipment had arrived at the port here in Charlotte roughly 2 weeks ago. I have not heard anything from the broker since October 20th until yesterday December 21st. I had been consistently reaching out to FedEx customer service team to find out how/who I needed to get In touch with to get my customs clearance form for my shipment. Everyone was absolutely clueless, 2 people told me that the Charlotte branch was no longer with them and kept giving me a number that was disconnected. It wasn't up until I told them I was going to bring it up to my attorney and have him deal with it. The very next day I received an email from the Charlotte broker (December 21st). As of Dec 21st I had to start paying fees because my shipment had been at the warehouse past it's limit. The broker told me that since I haven't been in touch with them that it is on me to pay the late fees. However I forwarded emails that showed proof that I had responded but never got a response back from them. Veronica E. Benson then proceeded to tell me to stop forwarding her emails because she needs to get the paper work done. For one, I forwarded her emails to show her I did response to the emails. For two, this paperwork should of been done weeks ago. Please if anyone reads this, do not waste your time or money on FedEx. Get a good quality local broker. I can't put into words how pathetic FedEx is in my eyes now.
