I worked closely with Gonzalo Morales at Craters & Freighters in San Jose in March '25. I had an unexpectedly rapid deadline to ship valuable items to the midwest. Gonzalo was fantastic! Knowledgeable, friendly and patient; he carefully explained various options and responded quickly to multiple email and phone questions. Pickup was perfect and delivery was earlier than any other shipper I contacted. There were last minute changes w contact info after work was already on route, which Gonzalo took care of immediately. Everything arrived in perfect condition, staff there said the crate was particularly well constructed, with interior structures made to securely nestle smaller items. Am so grateful for his courtesy, efficiency and professionalism. The two pick up crew described Bay Area Craters & Freighters as a friendly family. What more could you want?

I cannot speak highly enough of my experience with Craters & Freighters and their representative in their Bay Area location, Monty Smith. I needed to somehow ship my late father's butterfly collection from Calif to Virginia, and was extremely worried about its fragility and how to avoid damage during the process.

After discussing the project in detail with Monty, he proposed a solution that focused on careful, well designed quality packaging and custom crating. He talked me through the type of delivery trucks that would be used, and how the packaging approach would also protect the collection on the final stage of delivery-- our long bumpy gravel driveway in our rural location. His approach nailed it -- the collection arrived in excellent condition with zero damage.

If there was a sixth star possible these guys would get it. I needed a shipment to go from Healdsburg, Ca. to Miami, Florida and arrive within a week. Pick up was seamless, even in the rain. I was sent pictures of the packaging and it was expertly done. The crate arrived in five days and this was during Thanksgiving. Great crew, good communication and arrived ahead of time. All of this at a fair price. I was most pleased. Will use them again and again.

Will Cannon in the Bay Area San Francisco took superb care of my shipment needs from the pickup, crating/packaging and shipping to Middle Tennessee. Additionally, Will provided regular updates on the progress and even shared a photo of the completed container ready for shipment. I needed to ship an antique coffee table to Chicago on semi-short notice and while I originally considered UPS I decided freight shipping would be more secure. I found Craters and Freighters because they were the most local to me and thank goodness. The entire process was quick and completely problem free. I worked with Will to set up a pick up time. The men showed up promptly and packed up the coffee table securely and took it away.
Once I got to Chicago, I got a call to set up the delivery appointment. I paid extra for “white glove service” where the men placed the table where I wanted and they unpacked it and took away all the packing material. The entire process took just under a week.
Will and all the men were professional and great to work with. Honestly, I paid a premium for the whole experience but if you want something done right, you have to pay for it. No problem spending the money for excellent service. So, if you got to ship valuable or priceless stuff securely and quickly, Will and the crew at Craters and Freighters are perfect for the job.
