Deceptive and Unprofessional – Stay Away

The broker at BBI Logistics initially assured us everything was in order but kept delaying the rate confirmation. On the day of pickup, we had no choice but to take the load, only to find out it was 42,000 lbs of frozen fish instead of the 20,000 lbs of frozen food we were told. The broker claimed to be a driver himself and kept making excuses, but in reality, he was just stalling and feeding us false promises. After agreeing to a higher rate due to the misinformation, he went completely silent and stopped responding.

Untrustworthy company—avoid at all costs.

A good brokerage. Decent communications. Had the privilege of working with Jesse Halpren. I booked a load with him but had to cancel immediately due to multiple bookings of the same truck on my end. Jesse was very professional and understanding. He takes his work very seriously and as young as he is, I believe he is an asset to any brokerage with his sincerity and dedication. Delivered to Giant Eagle in Bedford OH. Arrived Saturday with at 0550 with a 0600 appointment. Communicated with broker that my driver was still waiting on paperwork and lumper receipt at 1000.
Finally received lumper receipt at 1138 from Capstone. Didn't get paperwork until 1155. Communicated with broker about everything. Sent broker bol/pod and lumper receipt. Broker said they would take care of it Monday. Today I received my updated rate confirmation with a whole $40.00 detention. They attached acc. sheet for detention pay. My fault for not reading it but never dreamt it would take 6 hours for 14 pallets of nursey. With these kind of detention pays, they will never become a big broker. If I would have read it, I probably would not have taken the load. What a joke this company is.
I will never do business with them again.
