Granted, I have lived in the Northeast for a while, and I had nearly forgotten the elements of Southern Hospitality, but I grew up in the South and I KNOW a friendly, fully-stocked hardware store from others that are not so great. Thompson’s Ace Hardware has all of the hardware and tools that most of us will ever need—and many items that are way beyond the exotic. They even have a roll-along-the-ground pecan gatherer. In addition, this Ace has a fabulous selection of Yeti cups and coolers, and you will be stunned by the Green Egg Grills and tools.

Having recently moved back to the South, I was also delighted by this store’s huge selection off Carhart and other hunting gear, and every time that I pass Thompson’s Ace Hardware, my mouth waters for one of their pre-built greenhouses.

I love most hardware stores, but Thompson’s Ace Hardware stands above many.

Thompson's is a great small town hardware store, like they all used to be. You can get *any* (and I emphasize any) size of screw or bolt you could ever need, plus stuff like Food Canning, BBQ, guns and ammo, and paint. They also have a UPS drop off, which is one of the only places to do this in Harrison. The folks are always helpful and friendly, and it's easy to get in and out. Great store.

I find that all Ace hardware stores have better customer service than Home Depot and Lowe's on customer service. And they're priced about the same. Ace has a lot better selection on a lot of small parts in hardware! They put Home Depot and Lowe's to shame. And I can always find somebody that can help me find what I'm looking for!!!!!. I can get in and get out! And I always find very friendly, helpful staff.
