Experience was with a Pickett driver in Philomath who apparently didn't agree with me for letting a driver merge in front of me - i was to merge in front of his Kenworth. I was ahead of his truck in the left lane where the two eastbound lanes merge and he blared his horn - there was no danger, just his frustration of a driver being courteous to let a driver merge in front of me. He was trying to crowd my lane to force me into oncoming traffic - I maintained a safe position and all I saw in my rearview mirror was a Kenworth grille for next several miles. Traffic wasn't moving to posted speed so the Pickett driver ran closer (tailgating) more than I felt comfortable. He continued this until we got through Corvallis and back onto four lanes. This type of driving reflects on all truck drivers. I've been in the trucking industry for over 32 years and this indicates more driver education to drive safely is needed.
