Everyone that works here that I had to interact with, besides the guy on the truck, to get my item delivered is entirely useless. I purchased an $8,000 item from a company that partnered with Elder. I paid for a certain level of shipping that required them to schedule with me and bring the item in my home.

Friday evening they call saying they're going to deliver the item to the curb at 9:30am Monday morning. I just barely call back before they close for the weekend telling them that's not acceptable, that's not what I paid their partner company for, and that nobody will be home that day to receive the item. The lady says ok and attempts to reschedule it. I tell her that Wednesday after 11:00am I would be available. She says she will process that through to dispatch.

Monday morning comes and they show up around 9:00am to set it on the curb, thankfully asking at the door cam before doing so. They take the item back and reattempt on Wednesday, but instead of doing so after 11:00am they show up at 9:15am and put it in the garage, after having to interrupt my meeting, instead of through the front door like I paid for.

This company has a branch in Salt Lake City. I unloaded there today. Be prepared to have them unload you all day long. I called Ken before coming to this facility and he told me the earliest they could unload me was 8am. I gave them the paperwork at 7:30am. It's 10am now and they haven't even given me the door. Ken wasn't lying. He told me the earliest, not the latest. They give priority to local drivers. There are over 10 of them in line right now and they keep coming. The Longshoremen here are incredibly lazy. There's very little room to maneuver on the lot. Try to avoid this company.

It honestly hurts my heart to give poor reviews, but this was the worst shipping company I've worked with and I don't want others to have the same struggles I did. I will give them a tiny bit of grace, in that I recognize that the company with the product and the shipping company have to work together, so there may be logistics/miscommunication I couldn't see, but still.

I ordered a piece of cardio equipment that was absolutely not cheap and very heavy. I paid the upcharge through the product website for "threshold delivery" to have it delivered right inside my front door or garage. When I got the text that this would be delivered on a Monday, I called the office right away to reschedule because I would not be available to receive the shipment. The customer service in the office seemed really great, we rescheduled for Wednesday (or so I thought). Come Monday, a truck pulls up to make this delivery and calls asking where I am. The driver was nice and ended up taking it back saying "oh they must have just sent it anyway". Come Wednesday, I had scheduled for delivery anytime after 11am due to my meeting schedule. The delivery arrived at 9am.

I stepped out of my meeting to attend to this delivery, requesting it be put inside my front door and was told no, that they "only do curbside delivery, but could put it in the garage". I shared about paying the upcharge and not being told it couldn't go inside the front door. The delivery guy basically said he knew nothing and left it in the garage. My husband and I struggled to get this 300-400lbs equipment base in the house. This absolutely should not have happened.

I am leaving a one star review on the basis of poor communication, uninformed staff, and scheduling issues. When you pay thousands of dollars for large items, you expect good quality service and I would not call this that.

They stated they tried to deliver on the 8th and we weren't home, which we absolutely were. The 11th rolls around and we receive a call stating they can't find our house.. we provide simple directions and are told 15 minutes til arrival. Here we are 3 hours later and the guy sends us to voicemail when we attempt to call back to find out where he is. We sat outside waiting to ensure the "nobody was home" excuse doesn't fly.

Super impressive business practices. If any company tells you that Elder Logistics delivers their product, look for any alternative to avoid them. They're driving around town with thousands of dollars worth of our blinds right now while we sit on our hands scheduling our days around them MAYBE showing up when they feel like it.

EDIT POST DELIVERY:
Blinds showed up. Half of the boxes have footprints and are ripped open with damage to the blinds. Delivery guy told us to call the place we ordered them from to have them replaced. All I could do was laugh at how terrible of an experience this was.

Delivery of a hot-tub:
Rob (my delivery guy) was very helpful and skillfully unloaded it. I had received a text the night before, with a delivery window (that was off by about 1.5 hours because they were running ahead of schedule). I made sure to be around all day just in case of that. I had blocked off street parking with my trash-cans and car, so as to make it easier for the large lift-gate truck to park. The day of, I received another text as a 30-minute heads-up, That was extremely accurate so I was able to meet Rob out front.

This was the second time I had a delivery from this company. The first was very smooth and the driver was awesome. The second time, EL was the final leg, after another carrier had just dumped it in a shipping center for almost 2 weeks, without notifying me. I was finally able to track it down just prior to delivery, or I wouldn't have even known where it was.

My delivery was scheduled while I was at the hospital for a medical emergency. I called the company to tell them to please hold my package until I call and let them know someone would be home to receive it. They told me they would hold it. They didn’t, they delivered it anyway while I was at the hospital, so I had a 6k dollar item sitting in my driveway for anyone to steal. The packaging was also heavily damaged.

This company doesn’t care about anything other than clearing their warehouse space. Avoid at all costs. There are plenty of logistics companies available that actually care about the quality of their work.

don’t trust a thing they say. i’m currently being jerked around, given no chance to reschedule my shipment, and being told conflicting delivery times spanning a total difference of 7 hours. like what? do they expect me to take an entire day off work in case they actually decide to show up? worst shipping experience i’ve ever had!
