I was forced to change to this chain store after Cigna bought Express scripts and canceled over 15,000 independent pharmacies, one of which was Tims. I have experienced nothing but trouble since the switch three months ago. Medications not in stock, I pay more, and the personal customer service at Tim's is absent. There is good reasons Rite aid was in bankruptcy. And then their money machine PBM Cigna forced the independents out. Express scripts is trying to force us into mail order, so they make more money. Why are you going to Rite aid Tim's has been here since I moved 35 years ago. They know me, they know my doctors, and kept track of my prescriptions. This Rite aid is really poorly staffed, and again, why do you go here? Rite aid closed several stores because of their customer base quit. Is it really that convenient

There is a Specific Male Pharmacist who works at the Yelm Rite Aid and this man likes to Profile Certain Customers/Patients that are receiving Narcotic Pain Medicine.
I was told by the Pharmacist that my husband's insurance on Multiple occasions that the insurance would cover his Narcotic Pain Medication on a Certain day but than that would change on the day we would be told only to be met with oh I'm sorry they won't cover the medication so you must pay out of pocket.
There has also been times where this same Male Pharmacist would play games with oh you need a prior authorization letter from the insurance company which we had already taken care of that but at the end of the day this Pharmacist is Profiling and making it a Fight each time for my husband's pain medication as my husband was diagnosed with Chronic Pain and has had Multiple Surgeries and even though All prescriptions are from highly respected Pain Doctor out of Renton and a Orthopedic Surgeon out of Lakewood.
I'm going to file a Complaint with Rite Aids Corporate Office so they can look into what this Pharmacist has been up to trying to play god with pain medication sounds like to me like this man truly has it out for those who are on long term pain management for life and it should NEVER BE A FIGHT FOR HELPING SOMEONE WHO IS IN NEED OF THERE MEDICATION!!
This Pharmacist is in the wrong job profession as it's not that hard to put people's pills into a bottle.

Employee working counter on black Friday evening at 6pm. Believe her name was Sage. Started arguing with me that I was stealing makeup, told her call the cops! She said she saw me, treating me like I'm a thief. I was just trying to buy stuff for the kids for Christmas and never once did anything that would even resemble stealing. She apologized very condescending when I pulled out my wallet and showed her the over 1k in money. Left my purchase at counter. She never even asked if I needed help finding anything. Super weird experience and 100% don't recommend this rite aid. If the owner or manager Dana could please reach out to me. This was a whole new level of inappropriate customer service.

One of the only shops like this in Yelm. Never seems to be too crowded and staff is friendly. They have some really decent sales from time to time so you should stop in every once in a while. There seasonal decor is usually pretty good for a small pharmacy shop. Parking lot is a little congested and compact.

Pharmacy staff unhelpful; prescriptions rarely on time; sometimes they are out of the medication prescribed; very poor and lacking communication. Sitting in the drive thru right now and have decided this is the last time. I will no longer fill prescriptions here.

This is the absolute worst pharmacy I’ve ever used! First, it is almost impossible sometimes to get someone on the phone. It will ring and ring during business hours. We have had to many issues with getting our medications. They aren’t ready on time, get lost, or aren’t shipped for days. Now, we requested our medications to be shipped and they literally can’t tell us where they are! We have decided to transfer pharmacies. We went to the new pharmacy today and it turns out Rite Aid only sent over one prescription for my husband and myself. The new pharmacy tried calling to get the rest of our prescriptions and Rite Aid essentially terminated them! So we have to call our doctors to get new prescriptions sent to the new pharmacy. So, we have to call to get new prescriptions AND we still don’t know where our new prescriptions are! I’m absolutely livid and will never be using this pharmacy again.

Went to Yelm Rite aid to get prescription filled for my dog. Had it filled there twice before. This time I was told they don't have this cough syrup. They said it was a different prescription than the previous ones. We went back and forth about it. I ended up taking it to another local pharmacy...no problem. Compared the new one with the one from Rite aid..the same! Will never go there again.

Dont go here, not for perscriptions or anything else!If I could rate this store and pharmacy in negative stars I would. On Saturday May 18th 2024 I pulled up to the pharmacies drive thru. The signs in the windows listed the hours of operation as being open until 9pm. There was also a hand written sign saying they were closed for lunch from 1pm to 1:30pm. Mind you I had been by earlier in the day and that sign was in the windows then. No one was in the pharmacy so I called the main phone number for the store. An employee named Sage answered the phone. She flatly told me it was closed and I explained that the sign says 9pm. She repeated it was closed. I then suggested she might wany to remove the paper sign that listed it open until 9pm. She then said "not my call". I asked who's call was it, the store managers? She replied "I guess". I then asked to speak to the manager when Sage hung up on me. Not an accident but deliberately hung up on me. The staff at this store is incredibly rude and honestly incompetent at basic customer service. This isn't my first bad experience here but it will be my last! Nk wonder Rite Aid is going out of business when you have washed up housewives mad they had to return to the workforce as employees. I hope they shut this store down and put in a CVS!
