Southern freight is a very good company to drive for you are not a truck number the boss Terry Wolf is a great person and very friendly and dispatch is great person to work with I would recommend Southern freight to anyone love driving here and the miles are good

Company is a rip off. They schedule me in for orientation November 18th. And they said they would reimburse me for gas from Pennsylvania to Tennessee. I go thru orientation just to get declined. What a waste of time.

Sign-on bonus is a lie. “Stay-on bonus, $1000 every so often until a year of service.” Then it becomes, “You had a single hard-breaking event, we are keeping the bonus payment as a Safety bonus you didn’t earn.” Get home late Friday night or Saturday morning, they want you to leave Sunday afternoon to “stage” at receiver 3 hours away for Monday unload, “so you have a full clock once unloaded.” Even though you’ll only be able to drive like 6 hours after the unload or there won’t be any place to put down.

Lucky if you top 2K miles. Driver-only health insurance is only $87, but family health insurance is over $300 a week. You’ll be lucky to bring home $800 and will barely get a 34 for doing it.

They at least get the 2 stars for providing breakfast or lunch though.

The only reason I give this company at 2 Star is because they have good customer service . Every time I see one of their drivers they are always driving bad. Whether it is tailgating or driving way too fast in a semi. I'm in OTR driver myself and they are beyond the normal rush job. This is only from my experience when I have seen them myself.

Terrible company. They treat their drivers like trash. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to drive for them. Fired two great drivers for ridiculous reasons.

Overall they are very honest, but you really can only count on 1800-2200 miles they do 80% live load so you lose many miles... they do with out a doubt get you home on Friday 99% of the time . Over all a great place to work but you will not make tons of cash 650- 875 clear depending on deductions. The pay is very fair for the work you do and they speak the truth , probably the most honest company I've ever been apart off.
