They do what they say, love working here, well that was the first week, round two:

Was hired to do the Sunoco acct out of Hutchinson, KS home weekly at $1500 weekly, the manager over the account was cool the first week and then he turned into a Karen, micro managing to degrading drivers and treating them like a stray dog, he needs to be takin down a peg or two, tried to transfer out and it got ugly! A lot of sitting and waiting at this dedicated account just to get loaded and unloaded, also mostly night time driving, I’m not a fan of, extremely unprofessional company, I would not recommend to anyone!

Best place to work if you love driving in the wrong lane and cutting people off!

Couldn’t find anywhere to contact the actual business so I guess I’m doing it here. Was driving in northwest indiana today on a small backroad going home when one of Star’s trucks cut me off and almost caused a crash. I’m assuming the driver realized he went the wrong way, as from a ways away I saw him about to pull out to do a u-turn. I assumed he was going to let me and the car behind me pass as he waited a little bit, but instead decided to cut me off giving me little time to slow down and almost making the car behind me rear-end me. After that, he proceeded to drive in the wrong lane for an extended period of time twice.

Some quick feedback, maybe train your driver’s a little more so easily avoidable accidents don’t take place. Tons of people die from semi/truck related accidents everywhere and this particular driver will be the reason for one of them.

Star has been very good to me and my family. The trucks are comfortable, well kept and maintained. An automatic fleet (initially I was disappointed because I prefer manual). The miles are consistent and the pay is compatible. The staff are very caring and truly understanding. The combination of these things has earned Star Transportation a very loyal and dedicated employee.

One of their inexperienced drivers came into a parking lot that was no where big enough for a tractor trailer and tore the front of my car up. This happened in a drop yard for his company,my company and several others. Not only is it clear where the trucks with trailers go,he had also been there before. As if that ignorance wasn't enough, the company is self insured and expects me to rent the car and wait on them to reimburse me. I don't loan money to anyone. Especially not a trucking company. I've been in this industry long enough to know better. Now, my car is fixed and ready to go except they never paid the bill (why I don't loan them money). The shop sent the bill 10 days ago and the lady who was handling it went on vacation without mailing the check. Apparently, she also has no supervisor to make sure she does her job either. Probably not good since she clearly doesn't do her job. Stay FAR away from their trucks on the road. The guy that hit my car says he had asked for more training even and they denied it. Now he's out a job and I'm out a car because this company puts unsafe people behind the wheel of 18 wheelers. Absolutely pathetic.

I had deleted my review because I thought they was going to pay back the money that they owe me I had scan in all my documents for a lumper that I had to pay while I was leaving this company they kept my $150.00 l had called them and ask them why they said because the signature wasn’t clear enough I had took another picture of the lumper documents and it’s been like 4 months and I still haven’t received my money. This place is run by criminals who will steal your money be careful with this company

Threats against employees check, unsafe loaded check, dispatchers who lie to cover their mistakes check, no money check….. so much wrong with this company now days that it isn’t even funny. They run loads in equipment that is dangerous and when you ask for repairs they say they don’t have the funds to fix their equipment, just run the load.

Then their drivers talk about how they used the company finance department to fraudulently get ppp and Edil money.

On top of all that they are selling and merging parts of the company in a bandaged attempt to save the company.

You’re better off working at Walmart then driving here. The fallowing photo of a email was sent after having no load for over 3 weeks, told I’d have a load to return the truck but to sit in paid parking till I hear back. A week later I had to take the advance to pay the parking or let the truck be towed and they used it as a threat to try and stop me from leaving.

Hey!! Great experience while I was there, did not haul auto parts, was on a dedicated account with a broker. Star was responsible for sending me my dispatch, which they did in a timely manner. I will be visiting the LA Vernge Tn. yard here shortly to see how messed up it is while I wait to deliver a load in the local area. You can learn alot about the drivers who work there by the way they treat the facilities. From the reviews I have read, they need to cut the truck back to 60 mph OR give more travel time on the loads. 1,000 loads of GM parts in a ditch are not worth 1 human life.

One of the drivers just almost ran me off the road!!! Couldn’t get all of the plate numbers but I think it was 350-11084 may not be correct! But as I was coming down 65 at church street he was on his phone and just came over on me! Good thing I seen the idiot about to do it or I may not be here to tell you all!!
