We took the Meraviglia from NYC, and all I can say is you get what you pay for. We paid almost half the price compared to the Royal Caribbean cruise we took a couple of years ago (same trip and month). So, people, please lower your expectations and enjoy the cruise! Like others have said, the bathroom smelled unpleasant, the shower room was moldy, the food was okay, there weren’t many activities, and sometimes the supervisors could be rude. Most aspects of the experience are not comparable to other cruise lines. Not to mention, the embarking and disembarking process was a mess and involved a lot of walking.

That said, they do have amazing live shows in the theaters every night and talented photographers taking great pictures. A lot of items on the ship are relatively cheaper than on other cruise lines. However, we weren’t expecting much anyway—and you shouldn’t either—so it was okay for us.

I had one of the most unpleasant experiences on an MSC cruise. Last June, I traveled to the Bahamas on a Meraviglia cruise from New York. At the terminal, I spent 4 hours searching for my luggage bag. MSC staff members told me to fill out the form. We will contact you in 2 weeks. Due to the lack of response from MSC, I will contact them after three weeks. Despite submitting a complaint on the website page, MSC staff members did not respond to me via email or phone. MSC has not responded after 8 months.

The value of customers is not a belief that MSC holds. All of you should take this seriously. I'm not the type to write reviews, but this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Hope you will not experience this kind of service, so it is better to choose another cruise.

Took our first cruise at the end of July. We went with 37 of our neighbors (who are also our closest friends). Took the ferry to the ship which left out of Red Hook.
The ship was beautiful and very clean. The staff was friendly and eager to help.
Cannot wait for our next MSC cruise.

We took our cruise in July for my husbands birthday. Loved the small casino, our food was amazing it's to be expected that certain clientele may not like or want regular cuisine, room was great recommended aurea spa package with unlimited drinks, & my choice dining where you can eat anytime💜 Shout out to our gracious & amazing waiters John Calida & Daniel Velas! They're service was phenomenal! Pools were a bit crowded but that's to be expected in the summer months! Sorry Nassau but those excursions are rip offs. Private Island is beautiful but get beach chairs first. Thanks Brayan Calderon for keeping our room exceptionally clean. Most of all enjoy your cruise, you deserve it!💜💜😁

MSC Meraviglia Review

First, I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Mr. Dewa Rai Miarta—thank you, thank you, thank you! You made my stay so much better. My room was cleaned THOROUGHLY every single time I left, and I truly appreciated your attention to detail.

Now, for the bad parts…ugh. Let’s start with the buffet. It was so gross. The dishes were filthy—I had to keep picking up plate after plate to find one that wasn’t dirty. Utensils? Forget it. Next time, I’ll bring my own plastic ones.

The jacuzzi? OMG. It was horrible. The chlorine was WAY too strong—it burned my eyes, and worst of all, it threw off my pH balance. My private area felt off afterward, which was definitely not okay. That jacuzzi isn’t healthy for anyone. I’ve been in may pools and Jacuzzis with my bracelet it never turned rusty..

I even found a bug in one of my drinks. They replaced it no problem, but…eww. I had already sipped some of it. On top of that, one of the elevator buttons was broken, and the food at dinner was awful. Look at this steak—it’s giving banquet Salisbury steak vibes. I went to dinner the first night and never went back.

The buffet was mostly pork and beef, which doesn’t work for me since I’m not into red meat. Breakfast, though? I could deal with that—it was decent. But on Ocean Cay Marine Reserve, everything shuts down by 4 p.m. (even the buffet and bars), so why even stay for the corny lighthouse party? Oh, and I couldn’t do the jet skis because the water was too choppy. They rescheduled, then canceled.

The balcony situation? Not great. Whoever was responsible for cleaning it wasn’t doing a good job—there was white stuff everywhere. It was gross and definitely not up to standard.

The ship felt really money-hungry. $4 for a can of soda? Having to pay extra for Houdini shows? Come on. I didn’t get the drink package, and honestly, I’m glad I didn’t. The alcohol tasted like bottom-shelf headache liquor. I also paid for champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries to be waiting in my room, and they weren’t there. I had to call room service THREE times about it. When it finally came, there were no champagne glasses. Seriously? And the strawberries were dark chocolate (which I don’t like). At least disclose that ahead of time! They did make up for it with breakfast in bed, so I’ll give them that.

We didn’t even get to go to the Bahamas, which was the main reason I booked the cruise. I was so disappointed. And there were SO many Asians on the ship—apparently, they’re sponsored to be there, and they move in large groups, often bumping past you.

With all that said, I still managed to enjoy myself because it was my first cruise ever. Of course, I made the best of it. The ship itself is stunning—hopefully, they keep it that way.

The taco spot? 100000/10. Gelato? 1000/10. But, of course, the things you have to pay extra for are the best quality.

MSC Meraviglia, please fix the jacuzzi ASAP!

Prem Raj provided us the best Indian food off the menu our entire trip. He was very welcoming and attentive. With the help of Prem, we were able to get all the Indian food from our own wishlist. We felt like home.
John Tamayao entertained us so well. He became part of our family. Very charming person.

We had the pleasure of embarking on a cruise with Msc, and I cannot praise the staff enough for their incredible service and dedication to creating an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped on board, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that set the tone for our entire journey.

The crew members were not only professional but also went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt special. Whether it was the attentive waitstaff in the dining room who remembered our preferences, the cabin steward who kept our room immaculate and left thoughtful surprises, or the activities team who engaged us with enthusiasm and warmth, every interaction left us feeling valued.

Deceptive lies starts at the time of booking "Kids Sail Free". MSC's false advertising. I was about to book my first trip and I wanted to make sure that my kid, which is only 5yr was included and at the top I added her and the same rooms prices changed from $1,300 it went up to 2,100 just for adding 1 kid. Do not trust the false kids sails free is false!MSC charges you for every child, no matter if that particular cruise was announced "Kids Sail Free". FAKE
