They locked me out if my locker for no reason and then refused to give me the key to the lock. Then threatened to call the police for making a fraudulent payment in opening the locker. The manager was horrible and the service was ridiculously pathetic. I will never use a U-Haul storage facility again and will tell everyone I know what they did to me. I am very disappointed and angry with U-Haul and the people in charge of the 40th street location in Springdale Arkansas.

The manager working up here her name is Amber. She is so rude. She does not know how to talk to people people no people skills at all. I don’t know how she got the manager spot, but she needs to be fired before Uhaul loses any more business.

I rented a facility and they charged my credit card. Every other storage unit I have rented was an automatic recurring payment. They charged me a late fee for them not charging my card. I think it is a scam to get more money.

The manager was very knowledgeable of company rules and followed them to a T. The site appeared clean and organized. The drive space was tight pulling a 16ft trailer but is doable.

Placing a lien on my old car after a day late adding $ 30 to my bill . I have heard they the thieves are an inside job at this place.
I’ll be removing my stuff from this facility and would recommend that no one keeps any valuable items in this storage - when moving in I heard horror stories of things being stolen from the panels being removed from the inside, out of view of the cameras.
This location is not the best place to hold anything and they will not work with you. I can imaging that my automobile had been vandalized - hopefully not.

Golf clubs and travel bag were stolen. Beware! I felt comfortable when first renting here but there is no onsite management. I showed up one day and they had changed my lock, never bothered to call or email. I was on auto-draft so it had nothing to do with payment.
They claimed I should have been using a provided lock, which was never provided to me upon checking in at the other location. I used the U-Haul lock I had purchased from them.
When I told the manager (again, at the other location), he stated that since I purchased the extra insurance, to just file a claim. I went through the claim process, filed a police report, and finally was denied by insurance due to "no signs of forced entry" and "mysterious disappearance".
The staff had removed my lock, didn't inform anyone, and now faces no liability. I reached out to U-Haul prior to sending in a review about my rental experience to give them a chance to respond. They never did, but the link for completing this review suddenly disappeared.
My golf equipment that was stolen from my unit was only worth about $600, but will cost more to replace. I'm more frustrated by the lack of concern and response from U-Haul.
Again, please be very careful about renting from this particular location. Otherwise, I have always had positive experiences from rentals over the year with the company themselves.

Secure storage at Uhaul Storage @ S 40th St is a joke! This place is old and in a rundown neighborhood with a trailer park next door and a Section 8 building across the street. The cameras do not work and the management is non-existent. After multiple break-ins and dealing with sketchy renters we are done and gone. We wish we had left a long time ago. It would have saved our stuff from a major theft. The management is impossible to reach on the phone regarding storage issues. When you offer a one month free special up front it invites criminals to rent for free, have access, not store anything, rob the place (cut tin walls) and leave the next month. Modern Storage is opening a new location in May 2023 one mile away. I would suggest going there for secure storage.
