My mother was admitted into the ER with severe back pain and nausea. Her vitals were taken upon arrival. Her blood pressure was 191 over 109 and her oxygen was around 80%. They placed her on oxygen and Morphine medication was administered through an IV. Dr. Frey came in only one time, she was there for a total of approximately 9-9.5 hours. She was given morphine 3 different times during this stay. Her vitals were checked only one time and that is when she first arrived. She was transported by ambulance to another hospital that has an intensive care unit. When she was placed in the ambulance her vitals were taken. Her blood pressure was 68 over 42, radial pulse could not be found, breathing was labored. Immediately upon arrival of the second hospital she received an opioid antagonist to counter act the morphine she was given. She was also placed on a medication to raise her blood pressure. It took 4 days for her to finally come out of her morphine induced daze. Frey about killed her!
