ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE BEWARE!! my storage unit has been locked for the past 3 times I’ve tried to get items out of my unit. This month I called three times trying to make my payment but kept getting told “sorry we’ve already closed the system out” or “we are helping another customer right now.” After finally getting in touch with them to make my payment I was told my someone on the phone I was 4 months late on payments. I asked to speak to a manager which then proceeded to tell me I was only 2 months behind. I sent bank statements from the past year and a half since I got the unit with no missed payments. They wouldn’t do anything to make things right for accusing me of not making payments and not being able to get into my unit. Do not use this place, you won’t be able to access your unit and be accused of not making payments since they keep records in a paper book. Dixie storage is the most unprofessional business I have dealt with in my life.

Have had issues with my dad’s unit being locked 3 or 4 different times since July. When finally went to the office to get an explanation, the girl looks at their PAPER folder/Customer Accounts, and says they were missing a payment for February!Okay…and why hasn’t anybody mentioned this to me any month that I come in to make the rent payment before now After showing my bank statements and the two women working there argued back & forth for about 10 mins over what was actually due and what was a mistake, I was told “never mind, consider your account up to date from here forward don’t worry about the “missing payment” issue. That was our mistake”
Honestly, I really feel like someone in the office there is mishandling the $$$ from rent payments &/or not recording stuff appropriately bc there are way too many customers having the same exact trouble with their units getting locked even though they aren’t past due on rent, just seems fishy!

Not to mention the rat infestation! Had a brand new mattress in our unit that now has huge holes chewed out of it from rats making home inside of it! ?
I had already mentioned seeing a few rats while at my unit back in the summer and rat droppings being everywhere to a girl in the office back around July and she said “oh yeah we’ve got a issue with rats right now but we just had someone come out and spray for them so hopefully this will take care of it for good!”

I have never ever heard of spraying to get rid of rats, but who knows ‍♀️

Dixie maid sold two of my units. We lost everything! We were not behind and had complained many times that our unit was locked when we didn’t owe any money. They told us it was a computer issue. Looking for a lawyer. Pictures and everything gone. We used the storage unit to move because our home burned. How can a place be so cruel! Our child has been in the hospital for nine months and we are both ill and they take our last bit of life!

I am currently locked out of my unit for the 4th time, all times I have been current on my payments. I am in the process of moving and can’t empty out my car because I can’t get into unit. and when you tell them about the issue, it usually takes days for them to correct it and give you access to your belongings. do not give these criminals your money. currently seeking legal advice. the only 5 star review was posted by an employee of the storage units lmao.
