Unfortunately, this will be my last time shipping with this company. This is the second year in a row that I have shipped items with them for the Christmas season. Last year my items were delayed and were not received until after the new year. These were items that my mother needed to support her local business, and she lost a lot of money because of this.
This year I decided to ship my items early in September. Granted there was a port strike that lasted a few days, so I naturally assumed shipping services would resume immediately after. After months of inquiring about a tracking number and being ignored, I finally received one in December. To my horror, disappointment and then anger, I realized that the ship actually left the port early December with an ETA date after Christmas!
The level of unprofessionalism this company has shown is appalling to say the least. You don’t take peoples items, hold on to it for months at a time and refuse to provide updates to allow them to prepare for the worst case scenario in the event the vessel does not arrive on time.
Since they have shown they do not care about their customers items and their livelihoods, especially for those that ship to support families who need these items to conduct business, I will not be using their services anymore.

I shipped with Karima for about 3 yrs now and this is the first that the container has been held at customs(my experience) it Too 4 months to arrive in Ghana,upon notification that ot has docked there was a pdf sent out to customers with the tracking number and a price that we are asked to pay,we'll it's to addition to the cost of shipping to Ghana,we'll I was given one fee and that has been erased from the group text on whatsapp then another pdf came out with another price 5xs the original. Well when you make a mistake or misquote to a customer you have to stick to the original price quote it's called customer service..very disappointed in this and would like to here a response to my review

This is my first time using Karima Shipping and I'm disappointed in their lack of transparency. I inquired the cost shipping a box to Accra from Hackensack, NJ and was told it will be $230.I went ahead to schedule a pick up, only for the guys to come and charge me $280, claiming the $50 is for transportation from Bronx to Hackensack. Mind you, they didn't just drive to pick up my box, they had other stuff too. This is ridiculous! If a customer ask you for the price of something, you give them the total. Never again!

Update!

My package finally arrives in Ghana after 3.5 months( ridiculous). Picked up Feb 19th, arrived May 25 and I get a text from this company asking me to pay an additional 25% of my total shipping cost because the shipment was held by customs and attracted additional changes. Just wow! How bad could you services be? My first and clearly the last time I'll be using their services. And I'm spreading the word about this failed company.
