The entire team at Navis Pack & Ship in Glendale was incredible and helped my wife and me through a complicated moment in our lives. We live in New England and were visiting Los Angeles on a quick timeline to help clear out the home of a family member who passed away suddenly. While we were helping organize the belongings, we learned that a lot of antique furniture and family heirlooms were assigned to my wife and me from the will.

We were immediately concerned about how to ship across the country two large antique chests, a wooden chair, and a host of other antique family heirlooms that are too fragile to ship with UPS or FedEx. We considered renting a cargo van and driving across the country with the items but simply couldn’t due to circumstances. After a quick Google search, we discovered that Navis specialized in packing and shipping large goods, antiques, odd-shaped items, and complicated items to ship.

After a quick drive to their facility, we met with both the owners, Elin and Louie and explained our situation and concern about shipping antique furniture across the country and how to do it. Elin and Louie explained how they would package each item, ship, and how we would receive the items. Additionally, my wife and I felt they understood our situation and respected that it was an emotional time for us while we probably came off as frantic. We decided to go with Navis and brought a bunch of the items to their facility and arranged for a pick-up of the larger items with their truck. Each item was scrutinized, cataloged, and labeled for packaging. We felt comfortable with these items in Navis’s hands once we left Los Angeles and felt further confident in them because Elin and a young woman named Maria provided me with constant status updates while everything was being packaged and in transit.

Once I received the items at my home and saw how everything was packaged, we were blown away! Each piece of furniture was individually wrapped in a mixture of soft foam packing sheets, with corner foam squares, plastic wrap, and additional foam secured to particular sections, and put into a large thick box that had 6-inch-thick foam sections between the box and furniture to prevent it from wobbling or absorbing any real damage. Each piece was handled uniquely to its shape and size. The boxes were then arranged on a pallet and further protected with edge protectors, heavy-duty pallet wrapping, and more “FRAGILE” and “THIS SIDE UP” stickers than I knew existed. Once we opened everything, we were delighted to see that all of our family heirlooms and antique furniture were perfectly secure with not one ounce of damage.

It felt great receiving these items in perfect condition during a tough time in our lives. Elin, Louie, Maria, and the entire team at Navis could not have been more professional, patient, and accommodating while demonstrating their expertise in packing and shipping of delicate items. If we could rate them 10 stars, we would.

These guys are amazing!! I called about 5 other shipping stores and the phone service alone far outweighed the other people I talked to. Lou was very friendly and helpful. He set the tone that this service was dedicated to finding solutions. When I got into the store I wasn't sure what to expect. I made something very fragile that I wanted to ship for mother's day and I knew that it was going to be expensive- but it turned out it was very affordable - so I decided to come in.

Emery helped me out and was so kind and knowledgeable. I could tell straight away that his interest and the interest of the company was making sure that my item was safely delivered==so much so that they suggested that I do not ship it at all! They instead created a special box for me to take on the plane and everyone working there was relaxed and joked around.

The integrity of this company is unquestionable. The prices are affordable and fair and the people are really wonderful. They also offer services that no one in the LA area offers *( I know...I called them all) - services like cutting foam down the size of your item and I even saw a few pieces they shipped--extremely large, awkward glass sculptures that were safely packed away. These people are coming from the place of the customer, not how much they can make off of you. I highly HIGHLY recommend them and will definitely be going there for all my special shipping needs.

Navis helped me get my fragile packages from the U.S. to Korea on time and in perfect condition. Would definitely recommend their business to anyone looking to ship valuable and fragile items. Louie and his team are OUTSTANDING! I was in a real jam too because the mover I hired to move me across country brought a van that was way too small. It could only fit half of my apartment, so the move was about to be a complete disaster - but thank God a friend recommended this place to me. Louis, Jose, and Andrew went to my apartment the very next day to retrieve everything that got left behind (which included some VERY delicate recording equipment). On top of that, they Facetimed me to show me exactly how they were moving things out. Then, they Facetimed me again to show me precisely how they were packing it all up for shipment. Less than a week later, two pallet loads of items arrived across country safe, secure, and in perfect condition. The price was very reasonable and affordable too. Best of all - it's a family run business so I feel good about hiring locally. Look no further than this place because Louie is a miracle worker!
