We came for the crystal digging and quickly found we would have come just for this cabin, and the company! I asked where we could find live music tonight, and Mike said, “right here!” We will definitely be coming back to dig, but only if we can stay here again 💖

Hosted by a true southern gentleman, The Arkansas Banjo artist Mike Adams, this cabin is peaceful, quaint, rustic, and relaxing. Loads of outdoor activities around Mt.Ida, AR and nearby vicinity. Cabin has a covered area in back for cooking food or watching the river flow by, great front porch…lots of country decor that creates an ambience that beings to mind simpler, better times….an ideal getaway for couples or small families.
The most gracious host we’ve ever met.
You’ll want to take home one of his nice CDs with you as well to remember the trip by.

This place is fantastic! And Mike is a wonderful host. My son and I stayed at the Irish Rose for two nights and used it as a home base while we went crystal hunting and exploring the backroads of Arkansas. This is not some boards slapped together kind of cabin. It is pristine and well built. A very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. The town of Mt Ida has several places to eat. We even explored Hot Springs but were happy to have our quaint cabin to retire to from the throngs of tourists in the city. We will definitely be back! Thanks again Mike! You are a very nice person and we are so glad we met you.

My wife Kari and I spent 3 nights at the Irish Rose Cabin and we just loved it! Mike’s property is wonderful and relaxing. There are many things to do close by to keep ya busy or you can just relax on the front porch of the cabin and watch the sunrise. We took in a concert on the “Front Porch” at the courthouse and it was wonderful. Plenty of seating and the venue is awesome! We even ran into Mike and he will be on stage this coming weekend!
If you want to relax…do yourself a favor and spend a little time at the Irish Rose Cabin!! Mike is a wonderful host and if ya get lucky…he might even invite ya over for lunch…and he cooks a mean spaghetti and it’s “Italian approved”!!

What an absolutely delightful place to stay. Mike Adams, the host, has a genuine sort of kindness that seems harder to find these days. Inside, he’s built a wonderful little cabin in the woods that offers just enough space to sleep and eat and spend time with family. Outside there’s room to roam and take in beautiful Ouachita Mountains vistas. The town of Mount Ida offers a few options for food but we picked Bob’s Food City to buy some groceries and eat at the cabin using the dandy little kitchenette. After spending the day digging crystals at Sweet Surrender, it was nice to come back, settle in, look at the stars, and just enjoy some time without intrusions from the outside world. I’d stay again. In fact, I will and next time I’ll stay a bit longer.

I am astounded by the level of peace and restoration that the light this gorgeous little cabin has provided for me. I will be back and I would tell everyone coming here to stay at the Irish rose. I am not the same person leaving here, as I was arriving.
