My wife and I spent a weekend at Mountain Harbor and had a wonderful time. It is such a picturesque place and a great place to get away from the everyday stress’. We stayed in a cabin and really enjoyed the back deck looking out into the forest and the hot tube. The entire staff are super friendly and want to make your stay the very best. We both enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Mountain Harbor as your get away from your everyday pressures of life. TJ

This is our second year to visit the resort and spa - we'll very likely be back next year as well! Every single staff member is genuinely kind and helpful. From beginning to end, we feel very special and cared for. Booking, special requests, and arranging a spa day for 4 ladies in the same time slots for four services each - the service is stellar. The cabin is cozy and perfect for our Annual Fab 4 Christmas event and the beds/showers are awesome! Every last detail is thought of - hot tub on and ready, Keurig as available, fan in the room (my necessary item!), and sweet little touches throughout make this one of our absolute favorite trips of the year. Mekenna & Paula were our contacts at the resort and Jessica was our spa contact. All were super responsive and friendly, going out of the way to make us feel welcome. There are several things to do in the area and we have enjoyed local eating spots and quartz dig locations (so fun!). Please not: I recommend that you purchase groceries/alcohol in Hot Springs or another big city before getting in to Mt. Ida. Although the store is fully stocked and we found everything we needed, it was pricey. The liquor store was satisfactory as well, but a bottle of Cook's was $10 and the better brands were $20 or nearly so. Book here - you will not regret it!

We are newlyweds and booked the valentines special weekend for our very first valentines together. We loved the beautiful scenery, our cottage and our spa treatment. We loved it so much that we planned to book another week long stay in the fall upon check out. We thought we had found our "place". All that changed when we went to the special valentines dinner. We arrived at 7:05 for our 7:15 seating. There were a few people in the waiting area and the earlier seating was still being served. We waited for a total of one hour and forty minutes to be seated for our meal. Many people who came in after us were seated before us. Names were not called. It appeared that whoever grabbed a server and asked to be seated were seated. We were among the last to be seated, though we were among the first to arrive. It was standing room only in the waiting area and my husband has a medical condition that makes it very difficult for him to stand for long periods. Once seated, our drink order wasn't taken. The appetizer was one very small crab cake. The serving of soup was just a half a bowl. By this time, I was in tears and my husband was in pain. I asked for the remainder of our meal to be packaged to go. Our first valentines celebration ended terribly and with huge disappointment. When we finally had our carry-out meal, it was a tiny portion with just three shrimp. The waitress apoligized and said that they would comp our meal, but we had already paid for our meal with our package. Needless to say we did not book the week-long stay that we had planned. Our first valentines day was ruined by a very poorly served and prepared meal. So disappointing!

We took our comp cheer team prior to our state championship. We stayed last year also. They are amazing. Highly recommend for a wonderful stay. Treated like family. Food was wonderful and it is so peaceful. The Christmas decor is over the moon and you wake up to the lake view.

We love Mountain Harbor & Resort. They always go out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. They have the friendliest staff and their food is delicious too. We fished a tournament on Lake Ouachita and had a blast. Highly recommend!

I was fortunate enough to be staying here for nearby work. This place was amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of quality of the accommodations, hospitality of the staff and the general area. I travel a lot for work (Lake surveys) and Mountain Harbor is my favorite place thus far. I forgot I was working; it more like being paid to take a vacation, can't beat that! ||I'll be back in the summer for an actual vacation.

This was a wonderful rest and reset heading into Christmas. Wonderful massages at Turtle Cove, great views from the deck, weather perfect. Nice hikes and wonderful quiet evenings by the fire. There’s a reason my family has been coming to Mountain Harbor for 5 generations.

Absolutely love this place. We enjoyed thanksgiving dinner and also the Christmas lighting ceremony the next day. Hay ride and all. Great place. Can't wait to go in the summer for some fishing.
