I hired Mayflower to move my home content from Smyrna, Ga to Salt Lake City, Utah. The administrative staff was professional, but the movers were terrible. They left things in Atlanta and damaged the floor and ceiling fan while moving items. Upon arrival to Midvale Utah, they refused to assemble beds, dressers, dining tables, etc. I called the Atlanta office and they were told to assemble the items as they took them down in Atlanta. They still refused and left my home in total disarray and they left without finishing the job. The Utah movers constantly complained about their health issues and took long smoke breaks. I reported them to the MESA manager, Chad Shumway. He said he would call them to ensure they returned after lunch, but some of them did not come back. As a result the movers left the job unfinished and house hold items were left in the garage. Boxes were tossed in my home with no order. Almost every thing that could be broken was broken. I called all day on Saturday to ask them to come and finish the job. No one called me back which extended my stay at the hotel. I sent pictures of damaged items, furniture unassembled, boxes all over the place and some furniture left in the garage to Fortune, their claims specialist. I requested a refund for the unprofessional conduct of the movers and the destruction of my property. I requests and claims have been ignored. I will continue with legal action. This is unacceptable behavior from a reputable company like Mayflower who charged eight thousand plus dollars for the move.
