This store is absolutely fantastic, and places like this simply don’t exist any more.

Everyone, and I mean every one of the employees will greet you with a friendly smile, ask if you have any questions or would like assistance, go out of their way to help you, and either has the knowledge to do so, or the ambition to find someone else who can help.

An employee saw me carry in a part for my generator, and while he was assisting another customer when I entered, he made the effort to find me when he was done, ask if I had questions, then go into the back room to find specific pieces I needed and verify they were compatible. It would have taken 4x as long, probably three trips back to the store, and no small amount of profanity before I found the right parts myself.

I wanted a snow blower they didn’t have in stock, so they put in a custom order. When it just missed the delivery truck the day it arrived at their store, the store manager put it into his personal truck and brought it to my house on his way home from work.

This level of customer service is unheard of these days. They employ good people, who do their jobs fantastically well, work hard at them, and they deserve your business WAY before any of their competing big box stores do, where people won’t even look up from their phones as you walk past them.

Needed a replacement sump pump on a Sunday morning, this was the only place in the general Milwaukee area that stocked the model I needed. Drove 45 minutes, the lady at the counter had it set aside for me and was an absolute delight.

Six months ago went to Ace Hardware on Port, Washington road in Glendale. One of the service guys was very condescending to me. I’ve been going to Ace Hardware for decades, I chalked it up as bad day.

I just walked out of there this morning, again, one of the men from the service counter, spoke down to me in such a rude condescending tone. It was so unnecessary
- it was not Tony, he was great.-
It was the “gentleman” that came and interrupted Tony. I believe if I was a man, he would not have spoken to me in that way
I can’t imagine that I will be going back.

My wife had ordered two handrails to be installed at our house, and the directions were terrible. We went to another hardware store and didn't get very helpful advice. At Village Ace, the representative knew just what I was talking about, shared different options, and helped with my purchase. He then asked me questions to make sure that I understood the process. I left with the right hardware, and lots of confidence. The project turned out great!

Terrible customer service. Lot's of employees walking about, but they all refer to one named Homey who is the most knowledgable. An overweight shorthaired blond is the manager who is rude and insulting. I had been a customer for over 25 years and they lost me over a $12 item. There must have been a change in ownership
