If you have a problem with one of their trucks or drivers, forget getting any help from the company or dispatch. They hung up on me twice in the early morning hours on the 17th. Poor customer service and their drivers do whatever they want. Don't listen to the fake reviews saying it's a good company. Go elsewhere

800 to 1100 miles per week consistently for Regional drivers. Communication is..um..well anyway..good luck drivers.
Dallas to Houston twice a week. They have other freight but won't give it to drivers.
Wait hours
Live loads Dallas
Go to Houston
Live unload
Repeat

Not sure how they have 4 stars because this place is far from being a legitimate trucking company. Most of the people working here are great but there’s no open door policy and they will take from you just to make a buck. You barely make money as is being a regional driver but after working a dedicated run for a couple of months I actually started to make good money until I ran into a problem with a backhaul. I ran to San Antonio five nights a week and they had a brokered load as a backhaul that didn’t always have the bills in the mailbox like they were supposed to which hurts the driver because you have to do a split berth with no detention or layover and then miss your load for that night. After this happened twice I told the planner that the next time they didn’t have bills I would come back empty so that I could make my run that night. So it happened again and I called to let night dispatch know which I also told them the trailer I had needed a PM. Once I got back to yard I told the Ops Mgr who understood why I did what I did but less than a week later I found out I was gonna have a charge back of $440. I talked to the Ops Mgr again who told me he went to bat for me but there was nothing more he could do. I then talked to safety and was told he didn’t have an answer for me and would get back to me but never did. There’s no open door policy here so if you have a problem hopefully you can resolve it with lower level management otherwise nobody cares. The company only cares about their bottom line and will clearly take from their drivers in retaliation for something that wasn’t even their fault.

In response to Bradleygtx1 Macura review.
The trash can you are referring to doesn't have an opening big enough for my trash bag to fit in. I always place my trash bag next to that trash can. As so do many other drivers. I have stopped at that TA 2x a week for over 6 years. And I have never had a complaint or a problem with anyone.
I guess you were having a bad day and just needed to rant a little bit. I understand. I see that every day out here from drivers. Hope your day got better. I posted a picture to show just how small the opening is on that trash can. And the bottom of the trash can is rusted out. And if I put that trash bag in that trash can there will be no room for others to put there trash.
And it makes it much easier for the employees to pick up the trash . 🙂

So far it’s pretty smooth, I’m new to the company and the first few weeks was rough, I contacted Ragen about my issue, the following week I was getting more miles. Just have to be patient and just work the miles will come. Everyone is nice so far the only person I’ve talked to is Ms. Tresa and she is very straightforward I have no problem with that. I like it here it’s a very easy job

Been working with summit off and on since 2019.
Great company to work for, family oriented, where even the owner knows your name not your truck number, they have always treated me with care, safety ,and respect.

The reason I say a great company, is over the past couple of years it has been rough for me, in one way or another. Summit is a great company, when they should have closed the door on me they have always had my back. I am sure they wanted to pull their hair out a few times, because of all my personal family stuff keeping me from running, but have always been ready for me when I send the message, ready to roll, they get me running again. Most companies would have cut their losses.
I see the negative reviews and it saddens me, they are due to drivers not actually wanting to work, a miscommunication, or just that employee that secretly wanted to run his/ her game to their own detriment.
Some people will never be happy or grateful.
