Read all of the reviews before booking with this company!!! If there is a possible way for them to cut the rate, they will. Does not matter if you spend extra 10 hours at the pick up or extra 3 days for a delivery. Do not try being fair with these people. There really is no reasoning with them. Make sure you charge up if you can so even if they charge you for something, it'll be worth the drive

Did a load for them, they sure burned up my phone making sure I was on time for a load that was "ready" and was expected ASAP at the receiver. Once I checked in that I was on time and 4 hours later, my broker never answered the phone or replied to text messages about the detention pay. Same thing at the receiver. Load wasn't expected to be there, 5 hours later, still no answer from the broker to find out about detention pay, even tho I was told I was gonna get detention pay. Summit ended up owing me over $500 in detention pay. After texting the broker to never call me again for another job, she finally answered. She was on vacation. DSV is the same.

I'm not here to judge, just to review.
Here is my story.
I waited 6 hours to get loaded during of which I had constant communication with their representatives, sometime even with as many as three at the time:). I got loaded so late that I had to drive all night in order to make delivery on time, but it was my decision. Once I got loaded, the broker offered me to reschedule delivery for later time.
Long story short, I got paid for the load in less than a three weeks, that includes waiting time for the approval of detention. Paid in full as promised including all hours of detention as it was written in load tender.
I want to single out Adam Sanchez. He was the one who made all decisions and, as a consequence, he takes all blames. Not in my case, I don't have any. Instead I'm grateful to him. He was very helpful. I see them all in SEL as good, honest and hard working people, they just don't want to be pushed. But, hey, who does, right?
My own experience is very positive with SEL. I'll take their load anytime when it fits my needs.
I feel sorry for all people who wasn't that lucky. Unfortunately the lack of will to understand each other makes our jobs and lives more stressful and complicated.

One of the worst experiences that I have ever dealt with in all of 8 years in this industry, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BROKER AT ALL. A mistake the broker had made regarding writing my phone number down and writing it down incorrectly, led to her pulling me off of a load which was not set to pickup 48 hours from now. Mind you it’s thursday afternoon, load was suppose to pickup at 11pm Saturday night. I wasn’t even given a chance to respond to the brokers email. I mean I get it that carriers lie and do all they can to get loads, but a carrier like myself that prides themselves on not lying and being straight forward from the start as I have been throughout the whole set up process and load booking process makes me wonder why on earth I’m usually the one that gets shafted. Very very inferior broker, I highly recommend staying away from and doing any business with this broker.. customers should be wary of giving them their freight, if they do this to me, imagine what they are doing with your freight. I would stay far away from them!

I ve done probably 5-7 loads with company for the past 3 years( reefers, dryvans) Nothing bad to say about them . Professional brokers. They paid me detention $ 40/50 per hour, layover $ 250 per day. They always pick up the phone. I did mostly Northeast regional runs with them.

We got freightguard report and there is no other place where we can defend our self, that's why I had to write a review here.
In my opinion it was not fair from Kevin Lee's side to place that kind of review.
His review on freightguard was because of canceled load from our side, yes, that's true, but what's not true is that he's claiming that we lied to him about it.
The reason we canceled the load was that we had damaged trailer at our previous delivery, with holes i it from the forklift while he was unloading us. Because of that we couldn't get permission from our safety department to load the trailer like that.
One claim can cost us much more than you think.

I am sorry for canceling the load but please put yourself in our shoes and then make the decision to report us.

Carriers be aware this place plays alot of games. Booked a load with them told us a time to pick up and when driver got to shipper load was not set to ship out and driver did not get loaded till late at night. Than they expected us to deliver the load still on time. They kept harassing the driver by calling him. This is not how you do businesses to get freight covered.
