I pulled into Speedway Express expecting to fuel up my car. What I got was a journey into an alternate dimension where logic, time, and the laws of physics ceased to exist.

The moment I stepped out of my vehicle, the Alaskan wind whispered ancient secrets to me. The gas pump screen flickered as if possessed by a vengeful spirit, asking me cryptic questions like “Do you really want a receipt, or are you ready to face your destiny?” I hesitated. The pump beeped in disapproval.

Inside the store, the fluorescent lights hummed with the power of a thousand untold prophecies. The cashier greeted me with the wisdom of a sage and the patience of someone who has seen too much. He handed me my change with the reverence of a sacred ritual, as if passing down the knowledge of all who have purchased Slim Jims before me.

Speaking of snacks—this place is a gold mine. I found a hot dog that had likely been on the roller since the Pleistocene era. It glowed with an unnatural energy. I took one bite and instantly understood advanced calculus. The nacho cheese machine burbled like a cauldron brewing forbidden spells. A man in a trucker hat took a sip of the cheese and achieved enlightenment.

Outside, a raven perched atop the ice freezer, locking eyes with me like a messenger of the gods. I nodded respectfully. It nodded back. I don’t know what deal we struck, but I feel its protection now.

As I drove away, I glanced in my rearview mirror. The gas station was gone. Had it ever really been there? Did I dream the whole thing? All I know is, I left with a full tank, a questionable burrito, and a sense that I had touched something greater than myself.

Not the cleanest of bathrooms but beggars can’t be choosers. Also upset they didn’t have my flavor of Celcius. BUT it’s a decent stop that will have the essentials.

Nice place in the middle of nowhere))
Warm tea and coffee. Chip gas and food to go. Everything Traveler’s need during vacations trip. I was impressed by the gorgeous views of the Nature around the place. Must to stop and enjoy.

We have been stopping here many times through the years and never had any issues. Last night was the exception. We came in just before 8pm and on top of the drink cooler by the checkout counter was a speaker and it was turned up very loud. If there was a definition of XXX-rated song lyrics, whatever the crap that was coming out of that box, would have certainly qualified. It was horrible and we left. It is still beyond belief someone that worked there thought it was ok.

The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Three sinks and none have soap or paper towels. The coffee mix machines are extremely watered down looks like water and some cream. Then trying to pay and the lady working the counter was too busy talking to her friend in some foreign language to even tell me the total for what I purchased. Then she finally takes my money after her conversation is over only to tell me she can’t give me back my full change because she doesn’t have it in her register . So apparently her conversation was also to fun and exciting to ask her manager to do a change order for her register .

Don't trust their pricing signs. They don't match what will show up on the register and when you point it out they act like you are the problem. Their bathrooms are nasty. Skip this place and go somewhere in anchorage, or just go in nature.

Ghetto playing loud trap music workers have defensive demeanor and one wearing a ski mask pretty weird
