Same here, Temple TX to Grantsville UT, stole $500. I wont even bother to explain. Loading took too long, they told me they are working on rescheduling appointment. I rescheduled myself for next day, because they told me they close at noon that (that was a lie). They just set you up so they can charge you $500. I booked a load with Jordan Oke on February 22ND, 2024, which was on Thursday. He wanted the load to be delivered on February 26TH, 2024,Monday morning at 08:15a.m. at 2155 USA PKWY. MCCarran, NV. The rate he offered was $4,300. I asked for more as usual, but he refused. He said that was all he could offer.

The load was originally scheduled for pick up at precisely 12:30p.m on the DAT-load app. I called to book the load around 11:20a.m and I was approximately 160 miles away. Technically, I made my distance to pick up location known to him and he told me he was going to change the pick up time between the hours of 15:00-16:00p.m, Incase I encounter traffic.
I realized that the pick up time on the rate con still remained the same as 12:30p.m after he sent the rate con. He didn’t update it between the hours of 15:00pm-16:00pm like he mentioned early on which was supposed to be the new pick up time, but since I was in a haste for pick up, I didn’t really bother about it.
Fortunately for me, I arrived at 441 Masters Blvd Anderson, SC before 15:00p.m for pick up. I was given a door/ dock right away, but i wasn’t loaded until 17:45p.m. Immediately after pick up, I communicated to him on the phone notifying him that I have been loaded, but looking at the time, I wouldn’t be able to deliver the load at 08:00a.m on Monday. Could he please reschedule the delivery time. Then he asked me, what time or day? I said the same day but late afternoon. He said, he was going to work on that and get back to me.

The next day, he sent me an email indicating that, unfortunately, he couldn’t reschedule the delivery time and the load needed to be dropped at 08:00a.m. Attached below is the email he sent me;

Good afternoon,
Following up about the attempt to reschedule delivery. I can not change the time so delivery will need to be made at 0800

I tried my best to get there on Monday, but I was late due to wind storm with a gust of 55mph. I was super lightly loaded with a weight of 3000lbs.

When I arrived, Walmart DC took the loaded without telling me to call the broker to reschedule delivery. The gentleman at the security checkpoint mentioned that they knew Driver’s were going to ran late due to the high winds.

After delivery and submitted my paperwork, the broker deducted $500 out of our agreed rate of$4,300. When I called him to find out, he said there was no communication between us about me running late for delivery. Hello! I communicated with you the very first day the load was picked up. I called their other location in Rome, GA, thinking they were going to assist, but unfortunately, no o e was willing to assist me after telling them what happened.

How do you expect a solo driver to pick up a quarter to 18:00p.m on Thursday and deliver Monday morning at 08:00a.m?

This is a rip off and that’s not cool. My fellow drivers/ dispatchers out there, be careful when booking loads with this company.
