I wish I had read all these reviews before I fell for the cheap offering of this thieves. Stay away at all costs from this sham. They are not a shipping company, they are thieves. They opened our box, went through our belongings and and stole our stuff. The insurance claim was handled by the rest of the gang. Don't be fooled by the cheap quotations. You're likely paying to lose not just your money but also your package too1

I also wish I had read the reviews before using this company. The initial quote was cheap - £9.37 to send a 15 kg parcel. But the parcel took a week longer than it should have to be delivered. Then a few days later I received an additional invoice for £54.39 (they had already taken the money out of my bank account). There was an unexplained "additional handling" of £2.59. The VAT charge on this was £51.80 - ie 100 times more than it should have been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could not find a way to contact their customer services on the phone or by email, and their online complaints form does not seem to work.
I contacted my bank. They said that the unexpected additional charge of £54.39 was showing on their system as an ongoing subscription. They satisfied themselves that this was not true, so they gave me the option to cancel the payment, and to block ParcelCompare's ability to debit my account in future.
I also contacted Citizen's Advice. They gave me the address of ParcelCompare's head office (128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX)
, so that I could send a formal complaint in writing. They also said they would refer the matter to Trading Standards

Beware Beware Beware Beware Beware Beware

Don't use this company. It is totally a scam. After receiving the parcel, 7 days later they charged an extra £229 from my account without my consent.
I have a dispute from my bank, and I won the case. They have refunded it.
Please beware with this company and avoid providing any bank details.
Totally disgusted and wasted my time choosing them.

I paid £50 for next-day delivery with ParcelCompare, expecting a reliable service. Instead, they used UPS, who completely lost my envelope for 6 days! The envelope was critical, and it finally arrived far too late, rendering it useless. When I requested a refund for the failed service, ParcelCompare’s response was not only dismissive—they actually charged me an additional £192 without warning!

This company is a nightmare: they don’t take accountability, they deflect blame, and they’ve charged me more for their own mistakes. Avoid ParcelCompare at all costs—they’ll turn a simple delivery into a costly disaster!. If you have used this SCAM - CANCEL YOUR CARD immediately.

keyboard keys damaged/smashed.Insured for £400. Had Fragile label on front. They’re being awkward having given photos of damage and packaging, still asking how it was packed and being picky.Ongoing.. will report further

This is the worse company I ever came across in a very long time! Do not get fooled by the lower pricing to ship to Europe from the UK. Honestly I strongly suggest you go directly to the carrier website. A parcel which was supposed to be delivered to me in 2 days in Italy is going to be delayed more than 12 days after. I have had to have numerous calls with UPS and now I have finally a delivery date. The parcel value was of £49.00 and now I received an email from UPS saying I owe them €65.00 (£54.00) in import duties. That’s more than the value of the item it self and if you add compareparcel.com initial shipping fee it’s going to cost me so much more than if I shipped directly with UPS or DHL. I’m so disgusted. They should be stricken off and not allowed to trade.

Took my money but didn't send confirmation details so I could send, then when asked for a refund, nearly a week later they sent me the labels with no offer of a refund.
BTW, all options they suggested were cheaper directly on courier websites
AVOID

If you want your parcel to reach its destination DAMAGED, then ParcelCompare is for you. If you want to pay a LARGE SUM of money and go through a LENGTHY claims process, then ParcelCompare is for you!

I had the unfortunate delight of booking my courier via ParcelCompare. On paper, they are very appealing to customers who are looking to send their parcels across the UK. However, my well-wrapped kitchen flooring arrived to the supplier's warehouse in an unacceptable condition. The flooring return was subsequently rejected by the supplier and I was no longer entitled to a refund. The ParcelCompare insurance I had purchased with the courier fee was of no use and I ended up with damaged flooring, NO refund and NO compensation from ParcelCompare for using their services.

I had provided photographic evidence along with my claim to prove that the parcel was clearly damaged in transit and my appeal has been rejected from customer service. Very disappointed in ParcelCompare's service and lack of accountability. I do not recommend this company to anyone.
