👍 Reviews of National Van Lines Inc

National Van Lines Moving company damaged 6 pieces of furniture.
We took out 70k of full replacement insurance. Settlement offered was approximately $2600. No offer of full replacement. Furniture was custom. Adjuster stated that it could be repaired, but would never be the same. Stated missing items were not reported at delivery and could not be substantiated. How can you report items when boxes are sealed? The movers were very polite but in a rush. They wanted to deliver the furniture 2 days earlier, but I explained that we hadn’t made settlement yet. The foreman stated he was in a hurry to get back to Florida and they were very tired. My hallway and staircase looked like a battle zone. One mover fell with an art piece of furniture, put a hole in the wall and took a piece out of the first step on the wooden staircase. There were black marks on every riser and long scratches on the wall. We needed to repair 4 flights of stairs. When Yarnall, the Florida company packed and moved our household items, it was done carefully and packed in wooden crates. The partner company they commissioned with was never in contact with us. I do not know who the movers they used were affiliated with. Our furniture arrived damaged, not in crates and badly handled. The movers were tossing boxes up the stairs to the landing. I asked them to be more careful with fragile boxes. A sculpture was cracked in half. The real damage was to 6 pieces of custom furniture. I have included pictures. I investigated suing the moving company for breach of contract, but the cost for layout on my part would be astronomical if we went to trial. So we bit the bullet and lost 30K of custom furniture that cannot be replaced. We are slowly getting new pieces to replace the damaged ones.
I guess no move is perfect, but National Van Lines misrepresented the “full replacement” insurance. I thought we would be covered for extensive damage.

When moving across states, we knew we needed the absolute best movers to ensure a seamless, stress-free experience—and Reese and the National Van Lines team delivered perfection in every way! From the very beginning, their professionalism and attention to detail stood out. They confirmed logistics early, followed up with timely emails and reminders, and even checked in a few days before our move to ensure everything was on track.
On moving day, their team was efficient, careful, and thorough, securing all our belongings with the utmost care. They even took the time to walk through our entire home, inside and out, to ensure nothing was left behind including a special family outside decoration we went to bring with us. They safely secured all of our items on to the moving truck. The unpacking process was equally exceptional. They handled everything with diligence and respect, protecting our home during the move-in process and thoughtfully asking where each item should go.
Before they left, Reese and his team went above and beyond, walking through the house one last time to move boxes or items to their proper rooms. This level of care and dedication made our move not just easy but genuinely enjoyable.
I cannot recommend Reese and the National Van Lines team enough. They turned what could have been a stressful ordeal into a flawless, first-class experience. If you're planning a move, trust me—you want them on your team!

I highly recommend National Van Lines. My move was flawless from start to finish and came in, pricewise, exactly as quoted. From the broker in Arizona, Harry Goodman, to the loaders to the driver, James Turner, and his crew, everyone was extremely professional and nice to deal with all the way around. My items arrived almost a week and a half before the end date stated and everything was in the same condition as I packed it. I can't say enough about the way my move went. My stress factor, once all the professionals associated with National arrived on the scenes, went from 100 to pretty much 0. Completely satisfied!

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with National Van Lines has been nothing short of a complete disaster, and I feel obligated to warn anyone considering this company: STAY FAR AWAY.
My belongings were in their possession for a MONTH, and they have completely failed to meet not one, but TWO separate delivery windows—with absolutely no accountability, no urgency, and barely any communication.
Per my contract, delivery was supposed to happen between 03/24 and 04/07. I called multiple times during that window asking for updates and got nothing. Crickets. Finally, after pushing and calling non-stop, I received an email on 03/31—not even a phone call—suddenly revising my delivery window to 04/07–04/12.
And guess what? They missed that window too.
The morning of 04/10, I got a call from the driver saying my delivery won’t arrive until Sunday, 04/13.
When I asked about compensation for the delays, I was told there’s “nothing they can do” because my shipment was under 3,500 lbs. So apparently, they can completely blow past their commitments with zero penalty, and the customer just has to deal with it. Unreal.
This company has caused massive disruption to my life—personal plans ruined, work impacted, and all the stress of being without my things with no clear timeline or support. Not one person has taken ownership. Not one person has apologized. Not one offer of compensation or accountability. It’s like they just don’t care.
I hired National Van Lines because I believed their reputation. That was a huge mistake. They have completely failed to deliver—literally and figuratively.
Save yourself the nightmare. Use a company that actually respects its customers and honors its commitments. National Van Lines is not that company.
I also let them know in my last email that I would be reporting them to the Attorney General of Consumer Affairs & The Better Business Bureau as well as posting this review. No response came from that.

Van Line is an excellent company. From the initial meeting to the day our boxes were delivered, the entire process was seamless, with outstanding communication every step of the way. Our booking agent, Sam, was incredibly professional and truly exceptional in handling our needs. As this was our first experience shipping our valuables out of state, we were naturally a bit anxious, but the team exceeded our expectations. The delivery driver was not only efficient but also kind and highly professional, making the experience even more pleasant.

After checking with several moving companies, National Van Lines was the only company to send a person to our home to actually see what we wanted moved 1400+ miles away. Trad was very helpful explaining the procedure and the company kept us informed of the dates and time the movers would pick up our things and deliver in Iowa. The two who came to pack up our things were great and Rob, and his two helpers who delivered our things from Florida to Iowa were very friendly also.

This was probably the best move I've ever had & I have moved many times over the years. Stephanie Garcia (move coordinator) was excellent, very responsive. The driver, Robert, was awesome. He is quite a character, but definitely performed his job well. I would definitely use National Van Lines again if the need should arise.

I was nervous to hire a mover for my small move as I have had negative experiences with other movers in recent years. National Van Lines pleasantly surprised me by being fantastic from start to finish. Everyone from the moving coordinator to the movers themselves was professional, courteous, and accommodating. Communication was consistent and helpful throughout the process as well. I highly recommend National Van Lines and would hire them again without hesitation!
