This condo was super comfortably, nicely updated, and well stocked. On top of all that, there's a hot tub! A perfect place for a family to stay, although we enjoyed it for a romantic getaway... great kitchen, we enjoyed cooking although Girdwood offers a wide variety of restaurants. The condo is clean and cozy, with everything you might need for a week's stay in the area or just a quick weekend getaway.

Winner Creek Lodge is a great house! We were visiting Girdwood for the marriage of our son at Our Lady of the Snows Chapel on the Alyeska Resort property. All of us traveling from the lower 48 for the wedding wanted to stay together; as the parents of the groom, we also needed a place to host the rehearsal dinner. The Winner Creek Lodge provided the perfect setting for all of our needs. Did we find a jewel in Winner Creek Lodge - YES! This house easily accommodated the large group for the rehearsal dinner, as well as the 10 of us who stayed for six nights. The main living area is simply beautiful and spacious. Kim and Vic met us upon arriving and gave us a tour of the house and were very gracious people. The main dining table seats 20 with additional window seating in the alcove by the kitchen. We would rent this house again without even looking at other properties for large parties. Made out stay in Alaska truly amazing!!!

This was the perfect house for our weekend getaway! The rental is absolutely wonderful! Sometimes I hesitate to share how much we loved a rental because we want to keep it a secret 🙂 this is one of those rentals! The owners were great to work with, easy to contact and quick to respond. The house is well kept, very clean, well appointed and just all around wonderful. The open floor plan makes this rental perfect for a larger group. Ample seating in the kitchen, living room and formal dining table. The kitchen has everything you would ever need! More than previous rentals we have stayed at. The large back deck, with hot tub, is lovely and gets wonderful sun (this says a lot in Girdwood!). The bedrooms were clean, tidy and very comfortable. It is the little things that make renting a house feel like a home. We loved the owners provided both firm and soft pillows on the beds, extra blankets, lots of towels, hair dryers, etc . There are several bathrooms in the house making it easy for a larger group. The bathrooms were very clean and nicely updated. This rental was all around perfect for our group and plan to rent again next year!

The host was responsive and everything was handled via email. The condo was clean, well appointed and relaxing after a day of skiing. Our little group enjoyed cooking, the hot tub, and playing board games in the evening and skiing and the Bake Shop during the day. This was our second time in this specific condo (205) and we look forward to staying there again.

i have been renting condos for over 20 years,and this is one of the better ones. It’s very clean,, mostly up to date with a very good kitchen ,and all the pots and pans. After Renting comdos for as long as we have, we know once in a while there will be trouble,this is where the manager comes in. And Kimberly, is probably the best condo manager I’ve ever had experience to work with. Not only does she make sure the condo is clean and ready, she helps anyway she can with your stay. When she found out, that I walk in the morning she gave me, I can of bear spray, because a black-bear and her Cubs ,were around the condo complex. Then when the dryer broke, and it was a week before they can get it fixed, we would run the clothes, through the wash machine, and she would take them and dry them and fold them up and put them back in our condo before we got back home from the days, tourist thing. That was unbelievable to me, I don’t think that the owners of the condos she manages realize, what a very very good Manager she is. When you have a condo that’s as nice as this one, and a manager, that is good as Kimberly, to back it up, it’s the best of both worlds and a really really good place to stay . Actually the best .

We would highly recommend this rental. It is well-appointed and the kitchen is prepared for cooking. Kimberly makes certain that there are plenty of bath towels, paper towels and bathroom needs. We enjoyed having the freedom to come and go easily and use the garage. Kimberly was extremely helpful prior to the rental making certain we knew how to enter and things in the area to do. We returned to FL and 93 degree heat!!! Thank you, Kimberly.

Just back from Alaska & loved our 1 week stay at SnowRaven condo C201. Unit was exactly as pictured/described & all furnishings (sofa, tables, chairs, beds, linens, kitchen stuff) was very nice quality & more than sufficient (no skimping here). Hot tub was pristine-clean, & balcony views overlooking creek & mountains was serenely beautiful. Very quiet at night; creek sounds were quite soothing. Great location for exploring southern Alaska: Kenai Peninsula, Whitter & Prince Willam Sound, Anchorage, etc. Quick walk into small town of Girwood; Alyeska Lodge was about 1 mile away (sky tram to top of Mt. Alyeska was fantastic!) Dined out a few times at local restaurants & had very good-to-excellent meals. Local grocery, Crow Creek Mercantile, Div of Safeway, has everything you might want/need. Kim, Condo Manager, was very helpful & on site if needed. Highly recommend & would return.

We really liked this unit and it will be our first choice when returning to stay in Girdwood.

The unit is as depicted in the pictures. It was great for my wife and myself, and would be very good if another couple and or some children were also included. It was very clean and had everything we wanted. It was easy walking distance to some of our favorite Girdwood restaurants (Silvertip Grill, Chair 5, and Girdwood Picnic Club). If you are staying with children, then do make use of the great playground at the nearby Girdwood School. Jack Sprat (our favorite Girdwood restaurant) is a 15-25 minute walk (about 1.1 miles). Make reservations.

As another reviewer mentioned, its got lots of notes/instructions throughout the unit. I thought they funny, but I used them and we encountered no problems, so........ the notes work!

For us the most important amenity was the hot tub. It was sparkling clean and worked perfectly. The tub is great for two people, but would fit three adults who didn't mind being cramped.

Some notes that in no way are a criticism of the unit, but they are things that are particular to us as travelers:

- The beds were softer than we like. They were not old, broken, or saggy; just softer than we prefer (we like very firm)

- The battery operated clock in the living room has a wonderfully homy/old fashioned tick. We did remove the battery for the duration of our stay (replaced it & reset the clock upon departure).

- We couldn't find any plastic glasses to use when near the hot tub.

- Though the intent of our stay was not for tv viewing, the tv is on the small side.

Once again. We really liked the unit, its location, and its amenities. We'd stay here again.
