The current mayor, a few current city council members and past city council members...that include the current mayor have ran the city's water system into oblivion. The water has been off and on for quite a while now. It causes businesses that are necessary to close. Daycares, doctor's offices...etc. It also causes lost wages for employees and employers. A class action lawsuit should be brought forth against the council and the mayor as well as criminal negligence charges.

I get so sad when I visit home. I look at all of the businesses that have closed or shut down . I look at the homes that are boarded up . I look at the people who are still there and wonder how are they surviving there with the poor economy and very high rate of crime
I pray that the economy will improve so that the people can and will get back on their feet and get their jobs and homes and their lives back. Please all , let's pray that God will heal our land again, Amen.😔

Very high crime rate for such a small town with such a small population of people. #2 in the NATION for most violent place to visit or live.

No entertainment. No where "real" restaurants for people to eat at unless you're feeling up to eating Domino's Pizza, McDonald's, Wendy's, Pizza Hut's Pizza, Sonics, The Bistro, Subways, Taco Bell and a couple of ethnic restaurants such as a couple of Chinese restaurants, and Latino restaurants. Only places to shop is Walmart, Fred's, Dollar General, Family Dollar. At least one SERIOUS CRIME occurs at least once a week, if not more frequently. I sure hate to say this about our town, but it's the truth.

Its a shell of what the town use to be in its prime. After being riddled with crime, corruption, and gang activity the city is moving in the right direction for change and growth. Possibilities are endless...but so are the obstacles.
