I can hardly ever get a ride! They don't transport anyone except school children until 9am and then again from 3-5pm. So if you're not going to grade school, the available hours to TRY and get a ride are 9am-3pm Monday thru Friday. Out of alllll the times I've called and asked for a ride, I'd say they were able to provide transportation about 35% of the time🫤
Also, a lot of the employees that answer the phone and schedule the rides always sound like you are asking for the impossible. They are almost rude and I feel like I'm a nuisance when I call.
Barry County Transit can do better.

Tried getting a ride to and from a couple places and when we called they told us they were all booked up for THE DAY. As I just went out to walk to my appointment I seen two buses go by with one passenger each. BUT THEY ARE BUSY AND ALL BOOKED UP?!?!?!? Unacceptable customer service and this is not the first time. Shame on public transportation for their lack of transparency and urgency for their community.

Well I want to go and schedule a ride but they said that they have a contract for the school and cannot help me get back and forth to work. Then I asked him well don't my taxes pay that both my property taxes and my school taxes. The man chuckled. I do not understand why the whole fleet is being used for school purposes.

Called and set up a ride i needed. I repeated my address 3 times and the person i talked to kept saying the wrong street number. Thought she was talking about the building number but after getting outside 5 mins earlier then the 10 mins window they gave, no bus showed. I saw a bus fly by where i lived 5 mins after the times they gave me and they did not even attempt to stop. No one called me to clarify anything either.
A very poor first exp. Personally i wont be calling to use this again, ill just walk or figure it out.
Cost me a day of work.

Cannot make any pickup before 9am due to "school kids", cannot schedule a same day pickup after 1pm, and will not pick up after 4pm. Complete useless service to the majority of the people in this county who subsidize it

Tired of the web site with wrong hours and this coming. From lou.
Barry county transit is paid for by our taxes.and what they charge u to ride. But if ya are not a student u can not get a ride. We pay but cant ride. Thats wrong.

If they would answer that would be nice or when leaving a number that they would call you back. Been calling for 2 days now. I guess getting to my very needed health appt isn't necessary after all. Thank you so much.
