Whenever we’re in town visiting family & friends, I always come here for some fresh bakery. It’s a gem & I’m glad I found one in town. Very delicious & hits the sweet spot all the time. Highly recommend this little bakery.

A recent back home visit to see my father let me find this gem. I tried another bakery during my stay. Hands down Bakery on State is the top in town. This is coming from someone that use to do this for a living. Knee caps and donuts were delicious. If you choose filled you will have filling as you eat instead of wondering if it’s even there. The bread and buns were wonderful flavor and very good. Honestly why would you go to the supermarket? The taste, freshness, quality is why I returned throughout my stay. Friendliness from the whole staff was very accommodating.

Bakery On State is an absolute gem. As someone who’s been to countless bakeries, I can confidently say this is the best one I’ve ever visited. Everything they make is always fresh and delicious, it’s obvious they put a lot of care into baking their stuff.

I love apple fritters and have tried them from McDonald’s, Kwik Trip, Piggly Wiggly, Hartman’s Bakery, and many other places, but none of them even come close to the apple fritters at Bakery On State. They’re sweet, tasty, fluffy, and only $1.75.

Their donuts are also phenomenal, super fresh and irresistible. And their sourdough bread? It’s to die for. I can’t get enough of it. The kneecaps are another thing that's usually on my list because they melt in your mouth!

Beyond the baked goods, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and makes regular customers feel acknowledged and appreciated which is nice personal touch.

If you’re in Manitowoc and haven’t been to Bakery On State, you’re missing out. It’s a must-visit!

This is the place to go for baked goods in Manitowoc County. Their crullers are the absolute best! Their buns are the perfect complement to any burger. To top it all off, their customer service is beyond compare.

Food was good occasionally the frosting would have a thicker than normal consistency and was very sweet, employees were nice and helpful. The atmosphere is nice and pastries are clearly listed

Are you kidding? I cannot believe this places isn't front and center on Main Street. I had and eclair, cookie and a slice of an awesome cake. Delicious is the perfect word for this. Definitely look them up and enjoy.
