A flat 1.6 mile walk out of town. We walked there by just after 1:00. Be sure to check out the Lower Reid Falls, up a short trail ( a little steep in places ). Very scenic falls.

We walked from the cruise port to the Goldrush Cemetery and Lower Reid falls. It was a pleasant walk thru town and out to the cemetery. Was great to get off the ship and burn a few calories. The stories on the sign were interesting to read and then go find the burial sight. The waterfall was pretty. Made for a pleasant morning in port.

A very pretty spot a long hike from Skagway. I believe I might pay for a tour if I planned a return trip. I still have to hike 2 miles back. find they had a bathroom here. And plenty of spots to sit and relax for a few, but not exactly disability friendly.

Walk through the cemetery and see the historical grace stones. A short hike up the trail behind the cemetery leads to a beautiful tall waterfall

Fun cemetery to get a glimpse of the history of the area. Lots of interesting back stories when you combine this with a tour of the Gold Rush Museum in town. Tip: a $5 cab ride each way through SMART will get you here!

During a cruise to Alaska I looked up interesting places to visit in Skagway as that was one of the port cities we were going to stop at and this cemetery (plus Reid falls) was at the top of the list
After catching a local bus to the location from downtown the hike through the cemetery up to the falls was relatively easy, relaxing, and beautiful to look at
The cemetery itself was hauntingly beautiful
The bus ride was $10 round trip ($5 one way) and only 2 miles from town
Definitely worth a visit if you ever find yourself in Skagway, Alaska ?

A great historic place to go and see if you visit Skagway! If you keep going up the trail you’ll get to Reid Falls within a few minutes. You can walk here from town if you’re feeling adventurous. It’s about 2 miles from the dock. Or you can pay $2 cash (each way) and take the bus. The bus that takes you here is the one in front of the Skagway Museum on 7th & Spring.

Historic cemetery on the outskirts of Skagway,Alaska. Depending on what tour you sign up for when visiting you most likely see this place. Some of the most earliest gold miners are buried here.
