This is by far the worse company I’ve ever dealt with. They quoted my son one price and received that. Once they got to Washington they told my son he had to pay 2200 up front of they would cancel transport. Once paid they had us pay another fee for port fees on top of that. When it got to Canada we were made to pay another port fee and all of these transactions was through Zelle to personal phone numbers who i have no clue who nobody was. Once it got to anchorage I was made to pay taxes of more money and they then made us pay another 900 for transport to fair banks which then Brandon Hannas couldn’t find transport and told us he would refund only 450 dollars of the 900 dollars and goods not transported. My son had to drive 6 hours with his superior from Fairbanks to retrieve the car himself. Over $6,000 dollars later and i asked for a breakdown of all charges. I’ve asked for the break down for two weeks and finally today i receive a breakdown of $2386.42. This is preposterous and my son will be in touch with military legal department. My bank statements and emails say a completely different price. We still haven’t received the refund either. They can accept my Zelle payments but it takes 3 weeks for a refund of not even half of the amount of money sent for transport that my son had to get on his own.

We used Matson to complete the Tacoma to Anchorage leg of my new Jeep Wrangler's journey from the Illinois dealership. An absolutely perfect transaction. Thank you!

I hired a brokerage via Alaska Car Transport. Come to find out, they use Matson. If I would had known that all along I would've booked with them to begin with. Class act shipping. No complaints, only praise. They got my baby to me with no issues. Happy customer, even though I didn't do business directly with them. ?

We used Alaska Car Transport & picked up from Matson. The warm, welcoming, positive atmosphere at the Matson office was just Awesome. Truck arrived really early with everything intact. This piece of the move went through with no issues.

We used Alaska Car Transport who in turn used Matson. I don't know which one booked the pick-up from Frederick, MD and arranged the shipment to Alaska..

Anyway, booking was easy and they were upfront that the pick up date was just an estimate, but they'll try to get it on, or close, to the desired date of pick up. Our actual pick up date was 2 days after the contracted date which was OK because of the info given to us from the start. We paid additional money to ship about 125 lbs of "stuff" in the trunk. The company that picked up the car said he wouldn't take it with the extra weight, but after showing him the contract that we already paid for the additional weight he let it go. Though he did say the folks at the Port would just throw the stuff away..... they didn't.

Our vehicle, and the extra stuff in the trunk, arrived undamaged to the port of Alaska a few days earlier that anticipated!

Overall the experience was stressful, but Alaska Car Transport did a great job in explaining the process and keeping us informed via email of the progress along the way. I have no complaints.

I shipped a vehicle through Alaska Car Transport, which apparently uses Matson for shipment. When I booked the shipment (over 2 months ago) I was asked when I needed to pick the car up. I gave the date and was given a date to bring the car to the port. As of today, Alaska Car Transport/Matson has had our vehicle 14 days and it has not been delivered to us in Seattle. We have been in Washington since the day after the car was supposed to be delivered. Each day we are paying a hotel bill and have no transportation. We have spoken to both companies and the customer service is the worst I’ve dealt with. I will never be at the mercy of either of these shipping companies again. They also have a policy that if you do not pick up your vehicle within 3 days of its arrival, they charge a storage fee per day. I’m not sure how you can plan to pick up a vehicle when they apparently can’t give a reasonable idea of when to expect the vehicle. YOU don’t be late, but they can take as long as they please.

Was thankful to find Matson to ship my car up during February. My car arrived in anchorage without a scratch and the process was relatively simple without hiccups. I had pre-paid for the shipping service from Seattle to Anchorage, when picking up my car, I was under the impression that I would owe an additional amount for the items inside (weight), however when I arrived 2 individuals at the front desk affirmed that I was good to go.

Fast forward 3 months later and I get a call from Matson stating that I indeed do still owe an additional amount. I paid the amount that same day and was not charged interest as confirmed with the representative. However, 10 days later I noticed a $1200 charge on my card from Matson in addition to the amount that I owed. I contacted the rep, at first they were unable to find the charge and then confirmed that this would be corrected. It has now been 1 month and the charge remains on my card despite multiple attempts (3 emails and a fourth today) to resolve this with Matson. My patience has run out for this situation and for the unorganized nature of the billing process.
