Nice little shop. I was impressed with the wide variety of imported beverages- so many intriguing flavors! I grabbed some Cadbury Twirls, and an absolutely fantastic Nestle Baklava bar that was sumptuous. Not overly sweet and it had beautiful crunch from the phyllo and chopped pistachios. I'm scheming a return for some of the halal butcher counter offerings and some of the middle eastern breads on offer.

The shop’s Google listing shows an opening time of 9:00 AM on Sundays. I traveled 20 minutes and waited another 20 minutes, but no one showed up. There were five other customers who also left. Very poor management — they clearly don’t value their customers or their business.

I was so pleasantly surprised to find many middle eastern things that i’ve been looking for but not able to find elsewhere, such as Mloukhiyeh (Egyptian Spinach). The person behind the counter was also really helpful and very nice. They had a good diversity of goods and brands. Highlight recommend this place.

As a Yemeni, I feel so lucky to have this market here in Alameda where I live! This is a great place with lots of products from Yemen like coffee, tea, ghee, tea milk, sweets. The lamb they sell is really good quality. Prices are very reasonable and service is excellent. They are very trustworthy and I am so happy to have a piece of home just next to me!

Nice little Mediterranean market in Alameda. I go for spices, candy, and cookies. They also have a nice selection of sauces for rounding out your feast.
There is a small produce case and several freezers with Middle Eastern and Hindi food selections, as well as home and beauty products.
The candy selection is pretty extensive, being a lot of British and European snacks as well as some interesting tidbits from other parts of the world.
On my next trip I'd like to try some of the tandoori chicken I saw listed on the meat case.
All in all, this place is worth a stop.
