Such a cool experience! Andy and Shani were incredibly kind and took us on an unforgettable tour. Snowmobiling over a frozen lake to a glacier was the highlight of our trip! They even had extra gear for us to borrow to stay warm, which we really appreciated. Can’t recommend this adventure enough!

We recently took a tour with Andy and we had the most amazing experience! During our almost two-week stay in Alaska, it was the BEST tour we took. I am very pleased with the level of knowledge and kindness of our guide Andy.

Along with the snowmobiles, Andy provided us with addtl equipment such as gloves, snow pants, snow boots, etc. He came very well prepared for our tour and we appreciate it very much.

This was the second time I snowmobile toured with Andy. He is a great local resource and fun guide. The snowmachines ABA provides are great for beginners to advanced riders. Riding to the different glaciers is such an amazing human experience. I’ve toured near Girdwood and Eureka Roadhouse. Both tours have amazing qualities! The ice tunnel near Eureka Roadhouse has minerals suspended in thick glacier walls. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen! I will do this again. Thank you again, Andy!!

I recently took a tour with Alaska Backcountry Access, and it was hands down one of the most exhilarating and unique experiences I’ve ever had! The jet boat ride was an adrenaline rush—speeding down the river, weaving through debris, and soaking in the stunning Alaskan wilderness. Along the way, we spotted incredible wildlife, including a juvenile eagle that flew so close, it felt surreal.

The adventure continued as we got up close to massive icebergs and trekked on a glacier. One of the most memorable moments was discovering a secret lake hidden within the glacier—its serene beauty and the soothing sounds of melting ice were like something out of a spa. It was a rare, peaceful moment in the middle of such a thrilling day.

After the hike, we hopped into kayaks and paddled right up to the glacier’s face. Exploring tunnels and alcoves created by melting ice was like entering another world. To top it all off, the tour ended up being private, just us and our incredible guides, Andy and Zara. Their passion and knowledge made this experience truly one-of-a-kind.

If you’re looking for a thrilling, yet serene adventure in the Alaskan backcountry, this tour is unbeatable. From the jet boat ride to glacier trekking and kayaking, every moment was filled with excitement and awe. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience going to Spencer Glacier with Andy.
As the owner of the company (and the guide!), he can take his own decisions what brought us to the feet of the glacier and even into some caves, what bigger tours apparently weren't visiting.
It was only us, so Andy could adjust the all tour to our rythm.
He has good snow gear and the snowmobiles are brand new.
I highly recommend Alaska Backcountry Access!
