I tried applying to this one and they were completely unorganized. They had to use my phone to get the application process setup and still haven't sent me any information to go get a drug test. When I called to get more information they said I just might want to apply some where else.

If you're looking for a local courier, I cannot recommend Wolfgang Logistics enough. I was one of those innumerable people who wanted something from the local Goodwill Auction but didn't live in the area, so I needed a courier. I won, so I joined a local jobs/employment board to offer a once off for easy cash, but no luck! After about a week, I decided to call around to business and this was where I ended up.

I worked with Dave, who didn't bat an eye at a small time pickup/dropoff request, and he was both professional and courteous. They apparently get calls to pick up goods from the auction every now and then and are more than happy to help you out, and they don't charge a mint, even though you get the confidence of hiring a professional.

Here's how it went:
* I won the auction
* I arranged a pickup time that was convenient for both parties (no problem at all), and gave them Dave's info as the pickup person.
*All I had to do after that was email Dave the "you've won" page as proof of purchase and a paid shipping label from UPS for the drop-off.

I'd won an electric cello with a hard sided case, and though Wolfgang Logistics was willing to figure out how best to package it, the shape and size made it impractical to send it any way but in the bare hard case, and actually, that worked out fantastic! It arrived safe and sound with no hiccups at all. I should also note that the lady at UPS was expressly grateful to me for going through a professional courier, because they get calls about this all the time and it's always a headache, but she said that this way was a piece of cake (I had been in close touch with them to make sure it would work out okay).

One recommendation: this company is accommodating and courteous, so please be the same. Win your auction first, then call and arrange a pickup. They can work it into their schedule, and Goodwill is surprisingly patient as long as you're communicative. I had expected to have a friend come get it in about three weeks if nothing else worked, and Goodwill was fine with that. I have no doubt that the Wolfgang crew would appreciate the thoughtfulness ^_^
