I was in the store today. I was helped by Gary in getting some parts for a garage door. He was very helpful and friendly. I went home and had to come back one more time of course to make a parts adjustment. I asked for Gary and he was helpful to make the exchange and I purchased a few more. Just moved to Spanaway. I'm used to shopping at the big hardware stores and thought I'd try Ace since it's right down the street, now. Excellent customer service! Greeted immediately and they had someone there to help me in just a few moments. Thank you! You've earned another customer!

Thank you to the nice young man who suggested the shell station for a bathroom, as the person at the front counter only said no public restrooms despite seeing how desperate I was.I understand why no public bathrooms needs to be a thing in this day and age.. and especially in spun naway, however, the desperation on my face could have drawn a little more empathy from the" no!" person running the register.
I chose to spend my money in this store rather than another, which should indicate that i'm not there to shoot up in your bathroom. Thank you again to the nice bearded young man.. you saved the day!

This is the first time I have been so irritated to take time to right a review. I have been shopping at spa way ace hardware for about 10 years. My friends have been shopping here for way longer! Today was the worst experience I have ever had at a store for me. We have been working on the bull dozer and needed some grade 8 bolts to fix it. I knew that Ace always has what we need. Today I did not clean up before I went so definitely look scrappy. Me and my kid were in the bolt section trying to match the bolt to the broken bolt! This lady was watching us the whole time while lots of customers were in the same area. It took us some time to find the best replacement bolts and nuts. I put the broken bolt back in my pocket and without missing a beat she said you need to make sure to put all your bolts in the bag! This was said with an attitude. We looked around for a few more bolts. The whole time she did not leave the area and then checked the bolt box when we walked away from it. We finished and walked up front. She actually followed us up to the register and stood off to the side watching us. As we where checkout the lady at the register asked me if I had anything in my pocket that should be in the bag!!!!! At that point I was passed pissed off. Even my kid was shocked! I showed the lady at the counter my broken bolt! We felt the store and I was boiling mad and cussing as I left. I have never had this happen! The lady then made a point to come out the store and tell me I have no right to complain as I left the store about her and curse about her! She then said she does not want us in her store! I am pasted pissed off at the way we were treated.

I always go to this store to buy my dogs food (Taste of Wild), to rent the vacuum and to buy other things for home maintenance. The customer service had been excellent until today, I felt attacked and judged by two employees just because I was bent over checking the price of a dog toy and opened my purse to put away the cell phone I was holding. Both employees stared at me and approached me, one of them took the bag of food to the cashier and literally escorted me there. It has been the most horrible feeling I have ever had in my life. I understand that they must look out for the interests and safety of the store, but there are other ways to do it without making their customers feel this way. For the time being, I will look for another place to do my shopping.

11/9/2024 Saturday 1pm... STORE CLOSED!? NO note on door or anything! Just a bunch firewood inside blocking the doorway. Google and their store sign says supposed to be open till 6pm! Drove 25min to get here... What a waste of time! Veterans Day not till Monday, so no reason for retail store to be closed. Never shopping here again! If they're closed on the weekends, then they need to update their operating hours.
